Rome to Venice 11-night Itinerary
Day 1 - Civitavecchia (Rome)
Embark Royal Clipper in Civitavecchia.
Day 2 - Ponza (Italy) - Palmarola
Spend the morning in Ponza, with its beautiful coastline with rocky coves and cliffs which are rich in the precious mineral white betonite, sandy beaches and crystal clear water. This afternoon, cruise to Palmarola, a craggy island in the Tyrrhenian Sea.
Day 3 - Sorrento
Sorrento is perched above the sea overlooking the Bay of Naples. Sample the locally-produced liquor, Limoncello at one of the cafes on Piazza Tasso, or perhaps take the Circumvesuviana train to nearby Pompeii. There is also an optional tour to glamorous Capri or Pompeii.
Day 4 - Taormina (Sicily)
Taormina is full of culture, history and shopping opportunities. For pastry shops and upmarket Italian designer boutiques, go to Corso Umberto, or for exquisite views of the sea and Mount Etna, visit the much-photographed Greek amphitheatre. There is a cable car from Taormina down to Mazzaro Bay and the nature reserve of Isola Bella.
Day 5 - At sea
En route to Corfu, enjoy the elegant surroundings aboard Royal Clipper.
Day 6 - Corfu (Greece)
Corfu is one of the most beautiful Greek Islands, near the Albanian coast. Relax on the Liston arcade or see the rocky bays and pristine beaches at Paleokastritsa which are overlooked by the monastery of Theotoku.
Day 7 - Kotor (Montenegro)
Medieval Kotor sits at the end of a stunning fjord, backed by wooded hills, with winding lanes, picturesque little squares and an Italianate flavour inherited from a period of Venetian rule. Dominating the town is the magnificent Cathedral of Saint Tryphon.
Day 8 - Dubrovnik (Croatia)
Dubrovnik is a treasure made more precious by its miraculous restoration. Crowned by the Minceta Tower, stroll the 10th-century city walls for views of the city and the sea. The graceful Stradun leads to the Franciscan Monastery, restaurants, shops and the Sponza Palace.
Day 9 - Vis
Explore the picturesque island of Vis, the most westerly of the Dalmatian islands. It was closed to tourists for a long time and boasts a rugged coastline with secluded coves.
Day 10 - Krk
The beautiful island of Krk is connected to the mainland by a bridge. It has a pretty medieval old town, overlooked by a stunning Romanesque cathedral, 15th-century castle and the remains of the ancient town walls.
Day 11 - Cres
The stunning island of Cres is located in the northern part of the Kvarner Bay. It has an impressive 16th-century Venetian Tower and Arsan Palace which houses the fascinating Cres Museum.
Day 12 - Venice (Italy)
Disembark Royal Clipper in Venice.

Day 2 - Rovinj (Croatia)
Rovinj, a city in Croatia, is an active fishing port on the western coast. The streets are full of shops, restaurants and bars and the coastal area has some small bays.
Day 3 - Hvar
The heavenly scent of lavender perfumes the air in the fields and valleys around the island of Hvar. Idyllically located just off the Dalmatian coast, the island and the little port named after it have been a favourite getaway ever since the time of the Romans, the Byzantines, the Venetians and even Austro-Hungarian royalty.
Day 4 - Dubrovnik
It was George Bernard Shaw who said, 'Those who seek paradise on earth should come to Dubrovnik.' Indeed, Dubrovnik is a treasure by any measure made more precious by its miraculous restoration. Crowned by the Minceta Tower, the 10th-century city walls are the proud symbol of Dubrovnik's colourful history.
Day 5 - Kotor (Montenegro)
Kotor lies in Montenegro on the Adriatic coast and has been restored into a UNESCO World Heritage Site after it was damaged by an earthquake in 1979. Discover the well-preserved Old City of Kotor with building typical of the Middle Ages and medieval architecture, criss-crossed narrow streets and bustling squares.
Day 6 - Corfu (Greece)
