European ships

Scenic Azure, built 2016: The luxurious Scenic Azure carries just 96 passengers and is specially designed to sail the River Douro. With a superb staff-to-guest ratio, passengers can enjoy excellent service on board.

Scenic Jasper, Opal and Amber, built 2015/16: These ships feature large private balconies, each with the Scenic 'Sun Lounge' and a superb choice of restaurants including Portobellos and the elegant Crystal Dining Restaurant. With at least one crew member for every three guests, excellent service is provided on board.

Scenic Gem, built 2014: With just 126 guests, Scenic Gem is designed for River Seine cruising and has external balconies with the 'Sun Lounge' feature.

Scenic Sapphire and Diamond and Scenic Ruby and Pearl, refurbished 2013: Each ship has two decks of cabins with external balconies, each with the ingenious 'Sun Lounge', where a touch of a button transforms your entire sit-on balcony into a sun lounge (except Scenic Emerald, which sails on the River Rhone). The refurbishment means that all five ships meet the same exacting standards of luxury.

Scenic Crystal, Jewel and Jade, built 2012/13/14: These ships feature the external balconies on two decks, each with the ingenious 'Sun Lounge'.

Russia river cruise ship

Scenic Tsar, launched in 2013: the first 'new build' ship to be launched on Russia's waterways in 25 years. It accommodates just 112 guests. Please note Scenic Tsar is not a typical Scenic ship so there is no butler service, tailormade or E-bike facilities. Laundry and the in-suite mini bar are charged as extra.

Mekong river cruise ship

Scenic Spirit, built 2016: The luxurious Scenic Spirit features an open-air cinema and steam sauna as well as spacious balcony suites.

Burma river cruise ship

Scenic Aura, built 2016: The luxurious Scenic Aura offers cruises along the Irrawaddy river through Myanmar, formerly Burma. She carries just 44 guests in stylish balcony suites, the largest on the Irrawaddy.

Nile river cruise ship

Carrying just 36 guests, luxurious Sanctuary Sun Boat III is elegantly decorated in the style of the opulent 20s and 30s. All the spacious air-conditioned cabins have four-poster beds with Egyptian linens and oversized picture windows, and for the ultimate in luxury the Presidential Suites feature a separate sitting area whilst the Royal Suites boast private balconies.

Luxury all included

Discover a selection of dining options included, along with all onboard drinks, all day, every day. The only exceptions are a very small number of rare, fine and vintage wines, champagnes and spirits.

Butler service for all guests

To enhance the level of service, whichever suite you choose there is a butler service so you will never be without complimentary refreshments and a re-stocked mini-bar.

Fine Dining on European River Cruise Ships

Your five star river voyage experience also extends to meal times.

The choice of onboard dining venues are all complimentary, from the casual and relaxed atmosphere of the River Café to the elegance of Portobellos Italian Restaurant and al fresco dining on the Riverview Terrace. Off-ship the dining experiences are often set in spectacular or historic settings such as Marksburg Castle, and range from unique delicious dinners to intimate home-cooked specialities.

Crystal Dining Restaurant
The Crystal Dining Restaurant caters for all guests to dine at a single sitting with open seating, to sit with friends or share an intimate meal. At breakfast, enjoy an enticing buffet and cooked-to-order hot favourites. At lunch choose from generous buffets or a beautifully prepared à la carte menu. In the evening, your Maitre d' welcomes you to enjoy a delicious meal created by our award-winning chefs.

Portobellos Italian Restaurant
Portobellos Restaurant offers traditional Italian cuisine to a select group of just thirty guests, perfectly located at the front of the ship, taking full advantage of the spectacular views. Experience a delicious five-course menu complimented by exceptional wines, handpicked by our sommelier.

Al Fresco Dining on Riverview Terrace
The Riverview Terrace affords a wonderful view of the ever-changing scenery. If the weather permits, the terrace is transformed into an outdoor restaurant where you can enjoy a cool drink and sizzling gourmet barbecue. The time honoured tradition of high tea is another exclusive highlight - enjoy cream tea, sweet petit fours, finger sandwiches, and a wonderful selection of fine loose leaf teas.

River Cafe and Gelati Bar
Open between breakfast and dinner, River Café offers delicious sandwiches or even the perennial favourite, freshly prepared fish and chips. If you prefer something sweet, there's a choice of refreshing, delicious ice creams from our Gelati Bar, or a superb selection of tartlets, croissants, cakes, strudels and chocolates. New in 2014 is the addition of custom-built pizza ovens.

In-Suite Dining
Depending on cabin category, you can enjoy the added benefit of in-suite dining options like breakfast served in suite, fresh seasonal fruit skewers, or petit fours delivered each afternoon and canapés before dinner. If you are a Royal Suite guest, enjoy in suite dining whenever it suits you.

Table La Rive
Available to Royal and Junior Suite guests and all guests on the Danube Deck, this degustation menu showcases sensational seasonal produce, which are then paired skillfully with international and local wines by your sommelier.

Dinner attire is casual - open neck shirt and trousers for men. Jackets and ties may be worn but are not required. The Captain's Welcome and Farewell Dinners are dressy but not formal.

Entertainment

Throughout the day you can participate in a wide range of included shore excursions, or simply admire the outstanding views from your own private balcony.

Choose from a range of included activities with our Scenic FreeChoice programme - you could visit the Black Forest, cycle in the Rhine Valley or learn about the wines of the Alsace region. You can also explore independently with Scenic Tailormade, our GPS guided tour system.

On many evenings the best of the local culture is brought to you when guest musicians and entertainers come aboard.

Currency, amenities and smoking

Onboard, you'll also find a wellness centre and gift shop. All purchases onboard are charged to your shipboard account. The onboard currency is the Euro.
