• Day 1 Civitavecchia (Italy)

  Embark ship in Civitavecchia.

• Day 2 Portoferraio

  From his villa in Portoferraio, Napoleon, the exiled Emperor of France, looked out over the waiting ships in the harbour and dreamed of returning to glory. Enjoy a local vineyard tour, and near Portoferraio, discover the remains of an ancient Etruscan civilisation.

• Day 3 Portofino

  Portofino is a fishing village on the Italian Riveria coastline. It's pastel-coloured houses, luxury boutiques and seafood restaurants surround its Piazzetta, a small cobbled square overlooking the harbor, which is lined with super-yachts. A short walk takes you up to the Church of St. George, a church with a cool, plain interior, dramatically situated on the narrow neck of the Portofino headland. As a lookout point, and probably as a site of religious significance, the spot goes back thousands of years.

• Day 4 Calvi (Corsica)

  Napoleon once said that he could recognise his native island blindfolded thanks to the wonderful scent of the maquis. When you arrive in Corsica by sea, that's the first thing you notice. The second is the wild, mountainous landscape... and when you see a medieval citadel overlooking a marina, you'll know you've arrived in Calvi!

• Day 5 Menton (France)

  Bathed in golden light at the border of France and Italy, Menton is a graceful seaside town famed for its gardens, pastel façades, and gentle pace of life. Passengers can stroll along the elegant Promenade du Soleil, explore the colourful Old Town rising above the harbour, or relax in one of the many cafés overlooking the sea. Menton’s subtropical microclimate nurtures lemon groves and exotic blooms, earning it the name “Pearl of France.” Whether admiring Belle Époque architecture or simply soaking in the Riviera sunshine, Menton offers a perfect blend of French charm and Italian warmth.

• Days 6-7 St Tropez

  St Tropez on the French Riviera is popular with the rich and famous, with luxurious yachts lining the harbour. Perhaps relax on the beach, explore the town or head to the old fishing quarter of La Ponche. Royal Clipper will set sail during the famous Les Voiles de St Tropez sailing regatta for the perfect vantage point to watch the yachts racing.

• Day 8 Nice (France)
