Rising from the remote Tibetan Plateau and stretching over 3,900 miles, the Yangtze River is Asia’s longest and China’s most iconic waterway.
Winding its way eastward through dramatic gorges, ancient cities, and lush countryside, it eventually empties into the East China Sea near Shanghai. A cruise along the Yangtze offers a mesmerising glimpse into China’s layered history and vibrant present. From the mist-shrouded peaks of the Three Gorges to the engineering marvel of the Three Gorges Dam, the river reveals a landscape steeped in legend and transformation. Along its banks, you’ll encounter sacred temples, bustling river towns, and timeless traditions that have shaped Chinese civilisation for millennia. The journey is as much about serenity as it is about discovery—gliding past bamboo forests and terraced hillsides, you’ll feel the rhythm of a country where past and future flow side by side. Whether you're drawn by the cultural richness, the natural beauty, or the sheer scale of the river itself, the Yangtze promises an unforgettable experience that captures the essence of China in motion.
