Day 1 - UK - Budapest (Hungary)
Fly from your choice of 15 regional airports to Budapest. A representative will transfer you to your luxury ship. Tonight enjoy a welcome reception. (D)
Day 2 - Kalocsa
Enjoy early morning cruising to the Baroque town of Kalocsa which lies on the periphery of the great Hungarian plain and is renowned for its paprika production. Visit a Hungarian Pustza horse farm to watch a traditional horse show. (B,L,D)
Day 3 - Osijek (Croatia) - Vukovar
Today choose from a guided walking tour of Osijek or a guided cycling tour of Osijek's countryside. As a special Scenic guest, you will be invited into the home of a local family for a home cooked traditional lunch to learn about everyday life in Croatia. (B,L,D)
Day 4 - Belgrade (Serbia)
Today explore the capital of Serbia, Belgrade. Enjoy a guided tour of the city, which is home to Tito's Memorial, Fortress Kalemegdan and St Sava Church. Alternatively enjoy a leisurely bicycle ride along the banks of the Danube, join a native Belgradian for a tour of the city or journey to Sremski Karlovci. Day 5 - Iron Gates
Be sure to have your camera ready as you cruise the spectacular Iron Gate, a narrow gorge carved by the River Danube between the Carpathian and Balkan Mountains, a natural border between Serbia and Romania. (B,L,D)
Day 6 - Svishtov (Bulgaria) - Rousse
Discover the World Heritage-listed village of Arbanassi. Or, stay on board and cruise towards Rousse, where you’ll be treated to a guided sightseeing tour. (B,L,D)
Day 7 - Silistra (Romania)
Enjoy a visit to Varna, the largest city on the Bulgarian Black Sea Coast or take an active walk to Silistra Fort or perhaps visit a local village and primary school to learn about everyday life in Bulgaria. (B,L,D)
Day 8 - Bucharest (Romania)
This morning disembark and travel to Bucharest for an overnight hotel stay. Bucharest is a mismatch of eras with 21st-century offices, French Baroque-style palaces and remains of medieval churches. Join the guided tour of the Village Open Air Museum. (B)
Day 9 - Bucharest
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK. (B)
