Provence and Camargue - SVA_AIPP/AVF_AIPP
Day 1 - Arles or Avignon - Sete (France)
Transfer by coach from Arles or Avignon to Sete. Embark Anne-Marie late afternoon. There will be a presentation of the crew before dinner.
Day 2 - Sete
Today we will have an excursion of the Étang De Thau and its Museum, where you will discover the shellfish farmers and fishermen. There will be an opportunity to taste some of the shellfish while taking in the beauty of the basin from a terrace. Enjoy a tour of Saint-Guilhem-le-Desert which is arguably one of the most beautiful villages in France. Overnight.
Day 3 - Sete - Palavas-Les-Flots
We take a tour to discover a manade and the life of its herders during a visit by wagon. We will also take part in a bull sorting. Before we return to the boat, we will have a delicious snack with products from the farm. Overnight.
Day 4 - Palavas-Les-Flots - Aigues-Mortes
Sail to Aigues-Mortes for a tour of this old fortified city which boasts a rich heritage. The city is located in the middle of the marshes and is one of the most beautiful sites in Provence. Tour the salt marshes on board a tourist train and visit the salt museum. After our visit we will return to the ship. Overnight.
Day 5 - Aigues-Mortes - Gallician
Today we have an excursion to the Camargue. There will be free time in the beautiful city of Sainte-Marie-la-Mer, where we recommend a visit to its fortified church. Overnight.
Day 6 - Gallician - Arles
Discover Arles on a wonderful tour of the cultural centre and its Roman ruins. Travel inland to find out about olive oil production in Provence, with an opportunity to taste some local products. Gala evening on board. Overnight.
Day 7 - Arles
Buffet breakfast on board before we disembark.
