Q

The North Pole is the ultimate Arctic adventure, standing at the top of the Earth and everywhere you look is south.

Join your powerful icebreaker ship in Murmansk and begin crushing through the Arctic pack ice, a memorable experience. Just as memorable is boarding the ship's helicopter for a thrilling ride over the ship and Arctic Ocean. En-route to the North Pole, get to know your fellow travellers and enjoy lectures and discussions by the experienced Expedition Team.

The anticipation reaches a climax as you arrive at the North Pole. Take photos, wave a flag and celebrate with a champagne toast and barbecue on the ice. You may be able to take a polar plunge into the icy waters. Enjoy your time at the top of the Earth, before returning south, calling at Franz Josef Land, where you'll see the remains of three ill-fated Arctic expeditions and explore remote seabird colonies by Zodiac.

North Pole: The Ultimate Arctic Adventure Itinerary

Day 1 - Helsinki (Finland)

Your expedition begins with a one-night stay in Helsinki. (Please note mandatory transfer package including overnight hotel stay in Helsinki is an additional £1600pp)

Day 2 - Helsinki - Murmansk (Russia)

From Helsinki, take a charter flight to Murmansk to embark your voyage to the North Pole.

Days 3 - 6 - Cruising the Arctic Ocean

Feeling the icebreaker crush through the arctic pack ice is an experience you’ll never forget. Just as memorable is boarding the ship’s helicopter for a flight over the ship and the Arctic Ocean.

Day 7 - North Pole

The anticipation reaches a climax as you arrive at the North Pole. Take photos, wave a flag or call your family - just make sure you enjoy your moment at the top of the Earth. Later, celebrate with a champagne toast and a barbecue on the ice. There may be the opportunity to take a polar plunge into the icy waters around the North Pole. There may also be an optional hot air balloon ride (highly weather dependent).

Day 8 - Cruising the Arctic Ocean

Enjoy a day at sea.

Days 9 - 10 - Franz Josef Land - Arctic Ocean

This group of islands is the most northerly archipelago in Eurasia and is completely within the Arctic Circle. Discover Cape Flora and the historic remains from three ill-fated arctic expeditions. When conditions permit, enjoy Zodiac cruising beneath towering cliffs to see remote seabird colonies. The ship's helicopter will provide aerial sightseeing, and Zodiacs will take you to rarely-visited landing sites.

Day 11 - 12 - At sea

Spend time on deck or reminisce with newfound friends as you cross the Arctic Ocean back to Murmansk.

Day 13 - Murmansk (Russia)

Disembark the ship in Murmansk. Be transferred to the airport for your charter flight to Helsinki. Enjoy an over-night post-cruise stay. (Please note mandatory transfer package including overnight hotel stay in Helsinki is an additional £1600pp)

Day 14 - Helsinki (Finland)

Your voyage comes to an end in Helsinki

When traveling in extremely remote regions, your expedition staff must allow the sea, the ice and the weather to guide route and itinerary details. This itinerary is a tentative outline of what you’ll experience on this voyage; please be aware that no specific itinerary can be guaranteed.
