Wonders of the Fjords Itinerary

Day 1 - Hull (UK)

Embark Astoria or Marco Polo in Hull.

Day 2 - At sea

Enjoy the ship's facilities on a relaxing day at sea.

Day 3 - Eidfjord (Norway)

Cruise through Hardangerfjord. Eidfjord is surrounded by magnificent mountains and is the gateway to Hardangervidda, Norway’s largest national park, the stunning Voringfossen waterfall and the amazing Sysen Dam.

Day 4 - Flam

Cruising Sognefjord to Fram. The tiny village of Flam is home to one of the world’s steepest and most spectacular railways, which travels through some of Norway’s most breathtaking mountain scenery.

Day 5 - Olden

From the picturesque village of Olden optional excursions include the famous Briksdal Glacier and trips to glorious waterfalls, glacier-fed rivers and pristine mountain lakes.

Day 6 - Geiranger

Geiranger has grown into one of Norway’s most popular tourist resorts. From here, mountain roads wind their way up to panoramic views that are breathtaking.

Day 7 - Bergen

Bergen is beautifully located against a backdrop of seven mountains. Perhaps take the funicular ride to the summit of Mount Fløien for panoramic views of Bergen, or explore the traditional wooden buildings of the colourful Bryggen wharf.

Day 8 - At sea

Enjoy the ship's facilities on a relaxing day at sea.

Day 9 - Hull (UK)

Disembark Astoria in Hull.

Day 3 - Stavanger (Norway)

Stavanger is a modern city and known as the Oil Capital of Norway. Explore the picturesque old part with its 18th-century wooden houses or admire the impressive Anglo-Norman style cathedral. Optional excursions are available, including a visit to the Iron Age Farm at Ullanhaug.

Day 4 - Flam

The tiny village of Flam is home to one of the world’s steepest and most spectacular railways, which travels through some of Norway’s most breathtaking mountain scenery.

Day 5 - Olden

From the picturesque village of Olden optional excursions include the famous Briksdal Glacier and trips to glorious waterfalls, glacier-fed rivers and pristine mountain lakes.

Day 6 - Andalsnes

Andalsnes is located at the end of Romsdalfjord at the mouth of the Rauma River. The river attracted British aristocrats at the end of the 19th century. Today, it is the administrative centre of Rauma and the start of the Rauma Line, a vintage steam train journey. Perhaps take the optional excursion along the winding Troll Path Road.

Day 7 - Bergen
