Scottish Isles and Faroes Itinerary

Day 1 - Newcastle (UK)

Embark Magellan in Newcastle.

Day 2 - Dundee

Dundee is located on the Firth of Tray estuary and is home to interesting museums, including the RRS Discovery and Verdant Works. The city is the gateway to breathtaking countryside and the seaside suburb of Broughty Ferry. Please note: Passengers on the 3rd July departure from Dundee will be embarking the ship today.

Day 3 - Lerwick (Shetland Islands)

Lerwick was founded as an unofficial marketplace to service 17th-century Dutch herring fleets. Hay's Dock is home to the Shetland Museum and Archives. On the southern tip of Mainland is the impressive archaeological site of Jarlshof.

Day 4 - Kollafjørður (Faroe Islands)

Kollafjordur is a small fishing port on the northern shore of the Kollafjørdur Fjord. Optional excursions visit the island communities on this isolated archipelago with its wild and dramatic landscape.

Day 5 - Kirkwall (Orkney Islands)

Kirkwall is the capital of the Orkney archipelago. The spectacular St Magnus Cathedral dominates the town's skyline. Take one of the optional excursions during your time here.

Day 6 - Portree (Isle of Skye)

Charming Portree is the main town on the beautiful Isle of Skye. On the outskirts of the town, the Skye Heritage Centre and Aros Experience bring the history of the island to life. Skye’s stunning scenery ranges from the soaring peaks of the Cuilins to undulating heather moorland and spectacular lochs. Optional excursions feature crofting villages and iconic castles with both colourful and poignant history.

Day 7 - Belfast (Northern Ireland)

The cosmopolitan city of Belfast is home to Titanic Belfast, the museum exploring the legend of the Titanic. At the heart of today’s cosmopolitan city is Belfast’s elegant City Hall, which stands in Donegal Square. Perhaps discover the extraordinary Giant’s Causeway on an optional excursion from the city.

Day 8 - Liverpool (UK)

Disembark Magellan in Liverpool.
