British Isles and the River Seine Itinerary

Day 1 - Hull (UK)

Embark Marco Polo in Hull.

Day 2 - Newcastle

Newcastle was once an important wool and coal port, but today it is renowned for its nightlife, shopping and many attractions. The city has hosted the Great North Run since 1981 which attracts thousands of runners to the area. Nearby is the magnificent Alnwick Castle and neo-Classical Wallington Hall.

Day 3 - Aberdeen (Scotland)

The vibrant city of Aberdeen is surrounded by beautiful countryside and coastlines and is known for its historic charm.

Day 4 - At Sea

Enjoy the ship’s facilities on a relaxing day at sea.

Day 5 - Belfast (Northern Ireland)

The cosmopolitan city of Belfast is home to Titanic Belfast, the museum exploring the legend of the Titanic. At the heart of today’s cosmopolitan city is Belfast’s elegant City Hall, which stands in Donegal Square. Perhaps discover the extraordinary Giant’s Causeway on an optional excursion from the city.

Day 6 - Dublin (Ireland)

Dublin is the capital of the Emerald Isle and boasts a superb mix of medieval, Georgian and modern architecture. The city is home to Dublin Castle, Trinity College and majestic Four Courts. Perhaps cross the Ha’penny Bridge, one of Dublin’s most famous landmarks.

Day 7 - St Mary's (Isles of Scilly)

The Isles of Scilly lie just off the coast of Cornwall. St Mary's is the largest of the inhabited islands and is a delight to explore. The island of Tresco, the only privately-owned island, is home to the famous Abbey Gardens.

Day 8 - St. Peter Port (Guernsey)

Castle Cornet has stood guard over St Peter Port for over 800 years. See the picturesque waterfront of grey and white stone buildings, stroll along the cobbled streets and take in the Anglo-French ambience.

Day 9 - Portsmouth (UK)

A dynamic and vibrant waterfront city, Portsmouth is an irresistible mix of history and heritage. The city is home to one of the most important naval bases in the United Kingdom and the Historic Dockyard reveals 800 years of naval history.

Day 10 - Rouen (France)

Spend the morning admiring the pretty scenery as you cruise along the River Seine to Rouen. The historic capital of Normandy is known as the city of a hundred spires. Stroll along the cobblestone streets and see the impressive Cathedrale Notre Dame in the Old Town or visit Rouen’s Place du Vieux-Marche which is famous as the site where Joan of arc was burned at the stake in 1431. Perhaps take an optional excursion to Monet's house and garden at Giverny.

Day 11 - Rouen - Honfleur

Set sail for Honfleur early this morning. Many renowned painters have been attracted to charming Honfleur with its ever-changing light, half-timbered houses and beautiful old harbour. Nestled in its picturesque cobbled streets, explore the art galleries, artists’ studios, boutiques, restaurants, cafes and fine souvenir shops.

Day 12 - At Sea

Enjoy the ship’s facilities on a relaxing day at sea.

Day 13 - Newcastle (UK)

Disembark Marco Polo in Newcastle
