Day 4 - Åndalsnes

Andalsnes is located at the end of Romsdalfjord at the mouth of the Rauma River. The river attracted British aristocrats at the end of the 19th century. Alta is the largest town in Finnmark and located on the banks of the Alta River, popular for salmon fishing. The town has three centres. Bossekop is traditional, Elvebakken is home to the airport and harbour, and the new town features a variety of shops. Large areas of woodland surround the town which is one of the best places to see the magical Northern Lights.
