Northern Lights in Iceland Itinerary

Day 1 - Bristol (UK)

Embark Magellan in Bristol Portbury.

Day 2 - Cobh for Cork (Ireland)

There is also the option to embark and disembark in Cobh which lies at the mouth of the River Lee and has one of the best natural harbours in the world. See the brightly coloured houses which line the streets from the waterfront and the imposing St Coleman's Cathedral. Cobh is also the gateway to the city of Cork and optional excursions to the legendary Blarney Castle.

Days 3-4 - At sea

Enjoy the ship's facilities on relaxing days at sea.

Day 5 - Torshavn (Faroe Island)

Torshavn is one of the smallest capital cities in the world and was once the site of an annual Viking gathering. Perhaps explore the old part of the town which boasts characteristic red buildings with turf-covered roofs clustered on a narrow peninsula. The wild and dramatic landscape of the Faroe Islands is a magnificent backdrop to optional excursions showing how islanders live on these remote and unspoilt islands.

Days 7-8 - Reykjavik (Iceland)

Reykjavik is one of the world's smallest capital cities and boasts magnificent mosaics, spectacular sculptures and colourful houses. Perhaps visit the classic 'Golden Circle' with its lava fields, bubbling mud pools and impressive geysers on an optional excursion along with the chance to bathe in the famous Blue Lagoon.

Day 11 - Belfast (Northern Ireland)

The cosmopolitan city of Belfast is home to Titanic Belfast, the museum exploring the legend of the Titanic. At the heart of today’s cosmopolitan city is Belfast’s elegant City Hall, which stands in Donegal Square. Perhaps discover the extraordinary Giant’s Causeway on an optional excursion from the city.

Day 13 - Bristol (UK)

Disembark Magellan in Bristol Portbury.
