Stroll around the wildly magnificent Loch Coruisk on the Isle of Skye and discover the remarkable beauty of Inverewe Garden before visiting the deep chasm of Corrieshalloch Gorge with its awe-inspiring waterfalls.

Spot various bird species during a walk on the serene Isle of Martin and visit the impressive Callanish Standing Stones which have stood for over 5,000 years. Marvel at the echoing sea stacs of Boreray and Stac Lee as you journey to St Kilda.

Natural World of the Shiants and St Kilda

Day 1 - Oban (Scotland)

Embark Hebridean Princess in Oban.

Day 2 - Skye

Head north to the Isle of Skye and enjoy a leisurely walk around the magnificent and wild Loch Coruisk which lies at the foot of the Black Cullin. Cruise through Kyle Rhea and the Inner Sound bound for Shieldaig.

Day 3 - Shieldaig - Gairloch

Arrive in Sheildaig this morning and drive along the Bealach na Ba pass; a panoramic and winding mountainous road to Applecross. Then journey to Gairloch and enjoy a visit to the Inverewe Garden which was planted in the 1860's and is known for its outstanding beauty.

Day 4 - Ullapool

Cruise through the Loch Broom to arrive in Ullapool. Visit the remarkable Corrieshalloch Gorge which was formed during the Quaternary ice ages and showcases fascinating evidence of how glacial melt water can create deep gorges. Stroll through the charming woodland trails, look out for the woodland birds, walk along the Victorian suspension bridge over the tree-lined gorge and witness the dramatic Falls of Measach.

Day 5 - Lewis

Enjoy a walk on the uninhabited Isle Martin which is a haven for birdwatchers before marvelling at the sights and sounds of the vast seabird cliff on the enchanted Shiant Isles. On the Isle of Lewis, visit the Iron Age Carloway Broch, the best preserved and most visited broch in the Outer Hebrides. In Stornoway, see the Callanish Standing Stones which were erected around 5,000 years ago.

Day 6 - St Kilda

Cruise through the echoing sea stacs of Boreray and Stac Lee before arriving on the Isle of Herta; the largest island in the St Kilda archipelago. Enjoy a relaxing stroll through the deserted cottages of Village Bay on Hirta, a traditional Scottish coastal village which now lies in ruins and is roamed only indigenous Soay sheep after being abandoned in 1930.

Day 7 - Barra

Journey to Barra and visit the impressive Kisimul Castle which is known as the medieval 'Castle in the Sea'. Climb the tower house battlements for spectacular views of Castle Bay.

Day 8 - Oban

Disembark in Oban.
