Day 1 - London

Embark Aegean Odyssey in Tilbury near London.

Day 2 - At Sea

Spend the day at sea.

Day 3 - Lerwick (Shetland Islands)

Arrive in Lerwick this afternoon and enjoy a fascinating walking tour which will provide a wonderful insight into the lives and history of the people of Lerwick before visiting the Shetland Museum. Alternatively, visit the remarkable archaeological site of Jarlshof. Located near Shetland’s southern tip, the extraordinary settlement features at least 5,000 years of human history and was first uncovered by a violent storm in the winter of 1896/7.

Day 4 - Bergen (Norway)

Spend the afternoon uncovering the intriguing history of Bergen in Norway. Explore the wooden pier of Bryggen, the imposing medieval hall of King Håkon Håkonsson, the Rosenkrantz Tower and Den National Scene; one of the oldest permanent theatres in the country. Visit the remarkable St Mary's Church which dates back to 1170 and showcases a spectacular example of Romanesque architecture. Finally, board the “Fløibanen”, the only funicular railway in Scandinavia and ascend to the summit of Mount Fløyen for exceptional views of Bergen.

Day 5 - At Sea

Day 6 - Harstad (Norway)

Harstad is considered to be the cultural capital of Norway and showcases fantastic landscapes and culinary brilliance. The lively city is bursting with culture and boasts a mix of old and modern contemporary architecture whereas the surrounding areas feature picturesque mountain peaks, hidden tranquil coves and stunning beaches.

Day 7 - Honningsvag

Admire the colourful wooden buildings that line the streets of Honningsvag, a charming port town that oozes character. Because Honningsvag is the most northerly point in Europe, it is a gateway to the legendary North Cape. Spend the evening cruising the North Cape.

Day 8 - Tromso

Considered to be Norway's gateway to the Arctic, the small city of Tromso is surrounded by snow-capped mountains and fjords. As well as boasting a vibrant nightlife and an array of restaurants, Trosmo is great for lovers of outdoor adventure and provides opportunities to kayak, dog sled, fish and spot whales.

Day 9 - At Sea

Spend the day at sea.

Day 10 - Trondheim

The beautiful town of Trondheim has a rich Viking history and an intimate charm. With numerous museums, an impressive medieval cathedral, colourful warehouses and a wealth of wilderness; tourists never tire of exploring Trondheim.

Day 11 - Hellesylt - Geiranger

Nestled amongst dramatic mountains and wonderful fjords, the old Viking port of Hellesylt is a pleasure to visit. The highlight of this UNESCO World Heritage Site is the amazing waterfall in the centre of the village which has become a rare natural attraction. Next, visit the tiny, idyllic village of Geiranger which is at the end of the famous Geirangerfjord and is known for it's dramatic landscapes and beautiful nature. Perhaps visit the spectacular Seven Sisters waterfall or indulge in a visit to the Chocolate Factory.

Day 12 - Alesund

Spend the day exploring Alesund, one of the most stunning cities in Norway that is renowned for its abundance of Art Nouveau architecture. As well as the picturesque, colourful buildings, impressive architecture and an important fishing harbour, Alesund is also home to an Atlantic Sea Park and a history and culture museum.

Day 13 - Stavanger

The Stavanger region is a former designated European Capital of Culture and has been an important part of Norway's economy since the 1970's when it because a provider of oil and energy. It is still often known as Norway's 'Oil City' and is home to Norway's largest oil company, Statoil. Perhaps explore the Old Town which offers Europe’s best preserved wooden house settlement or visit one of the many museums such as the Stavanger Art Museum. The city is surrounded by breathtaking fjords and white beaches.

Day 14 - At Sea

Spend the day at sea.

Day 15 - Copenhagen - UK

Disembark the Aegean Odyssey and transfer to Copenhagen Airport for flight home.
