Iceland and Northern Lights Itinerary

Day 1 - Poole (UK)

Embark Astoria in Poole.

Day 2 - At Sea

Enjoy the ship’s facilities on a relaxing day at sea.

Day 3 - Belfast (Northern Ireland)

The cosmopolitan city of Belfast is home to Titanic Belfast, the museum exploring the legend of the Titanic. At the heart of today’s cosmopolitan city is Belfast’s elegant City Hall, which stands in Donegal Square. Perhaps discover the extraordinary Giant’s Causeway on an optional excursion from the city.

Days 4-5 - At Sea

Enjoy the ship’s facilities on relaxing days at sea.

Days 6-7 - Reykjavík (Iceland)

Reykjavik is one of the world's smallest capital cities and boasts magnificent mosaics, spectacular sculptures and colourful houses. Perhaps visit the classic 'Golden Circle' with its lava fields, bubbling mud pools and impressive geysers on an optional excursion along with the chance to bathe in the famous Blue Lagoon.

Day 9 - Tórshavn (Faroe Islands)

Torshavn is one of the smallest capital cities in the world and was once the site of an annual Viking gathering. Perhaps explore the old part of the town which boasts characteristic red buildings with turf-covered roofs clustered on a narrow peninsula. The wild and dramatic landscape of the Faroe Islands is a magnificent backdrop to optional excursions showing how islanders live on these remote and unspoilt islands.

Day 10 - Lerwick (Shetland Islands)

Lerwick was founded as an unofficial marketplace to service 17th-century Dutch herring fleets. Hay's Dock is home to the Shetland Museum and Archives. On the southern tip of Mainland is the impressive archaeological site of Jarlshof.

Day 11 - Kirkwall (Orkney Islands)

Kirkwall is the capital of the Orkney archipelago. The spectacular St Magnus Cathedral dominates the town's skyline. Take one of the optional excursions during your time here.

Day 12 - At Sea

Enjoy the ship’s facilities on a relaxing day at sea.

Day 13 - Dunkirk (France)

Dunkirk has the third largest harbour in France and is world famous due to the heroic evacuation of Allied troops. Fascinating museums in the town include the Musée Portuaire which examines the history of the port and The Musée des Beaux-Arts which is home to many Flemish, Italian and French paintings and sculptures.

Day 14 - Poole (UK)

Disembark Astoria in Poole.
