Cruise the North Channel to picturesque Ballycastle, where walkers can set out exploring the awe-inspiring scenery of the Antrim Coast. There is also the opportunity to see the 300-year old Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge, first constructed by salmon fisherman, or discover the UNESCO-listed Giant's Causeway. Enjoy a stroll on the island of Rathlin, a haven for birds, visit the sub-tropical Achamore Gardens on Gigha, and explore Kerrera on foot for magnificent panoramic views.

Footloose to the Emerald Isle Itinerary

Day 1 - Oban (Scotland)

Embark Hebridean Princess in Oban.

Day 2 - Ardfern - Tayvallich

Enjoys walks ashore accompanied by knowledgable walking guides or uncover 6000 years of history at Kilmartin Glen, home to ancient monuments and a special museum. Later, head to the beautiful village of Tayvallich where there are walks ashore.

Day 3 - Port Ellen

Spend the full day on the Isle of Islay where there is the opportunity to join walks or enjoy a visit to Finlaggan, in the heart of the Lordship of the Isles. There is also a tour of Kilchoman Distillery.

Day 4 - Ballycastle

Hebridean Princess cruises the North Channel to Ballycastle, where avid walkers can explore on foot taking in the rolling hills and soaring cliffs of the Antrim Coast. Alternatively, head to the 300-year old Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge which was originally built by salmon fishermen or discover the breathtaking Giant's Causeway.

Day 5 - Rathlin Island

Before Hebridean Princess returns across the North Channel, step ashore for a stroll on Rathlin Island. It is a haven for birds and the guided walk takes in the RSPB reserve and lighthouse.

Day 6 - Gigha - Jura

Enjoy guided walks on the beautiful island of Gigha or opt for a visit to the colourful Achamore Gardens, a sub-tropical garden designed by Sir James Horlick. Later, head to the Isle of Jura and perhaps enjoy a walk overlooking Loch na Mile, or discover Craighouse, the island's only settlement.

Day 7 - Crinan - Kerrera

Take a gentle stroll or cycle along the towpath of the Crinan Canal, before heading to Kerrera, a haven for walkers offering spectacular panoramic views.

Day 8 - Oban

Disembark Hebridean Princess in Oban.
