Keen walkers can explore the diverse landscapes of the Small Isles and Skye on foot or the less active can relax and soak up the area's spectacular scenery.

Walk through the deer reserve on Rum or visit opulent Kinloch Castle, then explore the wildly dramatic scenery of Loch Coruisk. Enjoy a challenging walk through The Quiraing or for a more relaxing experience join the coach tour to explore the peninsula with lunch at the Flodigarry Country House Hotel.

Visit Raasay House and Raasay Distillery or spend the morning walking on the rocky island then enjoy a full day walking from Gairloch or visit Inverewe Garden and Gairloch Heritage Museum. Stroll ashore at Shieldaig or walk along the headland then cruise under the magnificent Skye Bridge. On the Isle of Skye explore Armadale Castle Gardens and learn more about the history of the MacDonald clan.

Footloose through the Inner Sound Itinerary

Day 1 - Oban (Scotland)

Embark Hebridean Princess in Oban.

Day 2 - Rum - Loch Scavaig

Keen walkers can enjoy a walk through the wildlife haven of Rum's deer reserve or the less active may choose to visit Kinloch Castle, the first private residence in Scotland to have electricity. Walk along Loch Coruisk which is dominated by the dramatic Black Cuillin.

Day 3 - Uig - Portree

Today walkers will enjoy a challenging walk through the Quiraing in Trotternish while strollers will explore the peninsula by coach. Re-join the ship in Portree.

Day 4 - Raasay

Enjoy a visit to Raasay House and Raasay Distillery, or explore this rugged island on foot, before an afternoon sailing through the Inner Sound.

Day 5 - Gairloch

Spend the day walking from Gairloch or visit Inverewe Gardens, which are known as the jewel in the crown of Highland gardens, and the Gairloch Heritage Museum.

Day 6 - Shieldaig

Stroll ashore at Shieldaig or walk along the headland then cruise under Skye Bridge and through The Narrows.

Day 7 - Armadale

Explore the Gothic ruins of Armadale Castle, said to be the spiritual home of Clan Donald and surrounded by historic gardens and woodland trails, and uncover MacDonald clan history at the Museum of the Isles.

Day 8 - Oban

Disembark Hebridean Princess in Oban.
