European Gardens and Gateways Special Offer

This fantastic no-fly cruise from the UK explores Holland, Belgium and France, with extended stays in Amsterdam and Rouen.

Enjoy an overnight stop in the quirky Dutch capital of Amsterdam with its meandering canals and ornate gabled buildings. Continue to Zeebrugge, the gateway to Flanders, whose Golden Age heritage resides in three historic cities: Ghent, Antwerp and Bruges.

Spend three days in picturesque Rouen on the River Seine. This historic capital is where Richard the Lionheart was crowned Duke of Normandy and where Joan of Arc remains a symbolic figure. Perhaps travel to Paris, Normandy and Giverny during your time here. The final port of call is charming St Peter Port, closer to France but staunchly British. The diverse culture reflects the best of both worlds.

European Gardens and Gateways Itinerary

Day 1 - Dover (UK)

Embark your ship in Dover.

Days 2-3 - Amsterdam (Holland)

Enjoy an overnight stop in Amsterdam.Everyone has an image of Amsterdam. For some, it’s small boats gliding on the canals and locals two-wheeling on bikes to work and, as frequently, to meet friends for drinks. For others, it’s gabled buildings leaning, seemingly precariously, over cobbled streets and cozy taverns illuminated by candles. Still others imagine tulips in bloom and the paintings Vermeer, Van Gogh and Rembrandt. Each vision is even more beguiling when experienced in person.

Day 4 - Zeebrugge (Belgium)

A crossroad in the English Channel for centuries, Zeebrugge is the gateway to Flanders, whose Golden Age heritage resides in three historic cities: Ghent, Antwerp and Bruges. Here, museums display the glories of the old Flemish masters, from Van Dyck to Rubens. Summertime is a delight, showcasing colorful flower-filled window boxes, the graceful arcs of windmills, a patchwork of farms and picturesque rivers.

Days 5-7 - Rouen (France)

Spend three days in Rouen. Gracing the river Seine, Rouen is picturesque, cultured and vibrant, its skyline crowned by the iconic spires of the Cathédrale Notre-Dame made famous by Claude Monet. This historic capital is where Richard the Lionheart was crowned Duke of Normandy and where Joan of Arc remains a symbolic figure. Rich with medieval history and vestiges of its English occupation during the 100 Years War, explore its cobblestoned pedestrian centers to see Gothic churches including Saint-Maclou and Saint-Ouen.

Day 8 - St Peter Port (Guernsey)

Closer to France but staunchly British, charming Guernsey boasts a diverse culture reflecting the best of both worlds. Pastel-colored houses rise layer upon layer behind St. Peter Port, the island's picturesque main town. Beyond, you’ll discover a wealth of activities centering around goldsmiths, silversmiths, wood carvers and clockmakers.

Day 9 - Dover (England)

Disembark your ship in Dover.
