Round Britain & River Seine Experience Itinerary

Day 1 - Liverpool (UK)

Liverpool is a city rich in culture and heritage with several museums and galleries, including the Merseyside Maritime Museum. It is also the birthplace of the Beatles and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Day 2 - Dublin (Ireland)

Dublin is the capital of the Emerald Isle and boasts a superb mix of medieval, Georgian and modern architecture. The city is home to Dublin Castle, Trinity College and majestic Four Courts. Perhaps cross the Ha’penny Bridge, one of Dublin’s most famous landmarks.

Day 3 - Tobermory, Isle of Mull

The picture-postcard village of Tobermory is one of the prettiest ports in Scotland. Its large natural harbour is home to colourful boats bobbing on the waves and a rainbow of brightly painted buildings backed by wooded hills. Mull’s diverse landscape ranges from high mountain and wild moorland to sea cliffs and sandy beaches.

Day 4 - Kirkwall, Orkney Islands

Kirkwall is the capital of the Orkney archipelago. The spectacular St Magnus Cathedral dominates the town's skyline. Take one of the optional excursions during your time here.

Day 5 - Invergordon (Scotland)

Situated on the shores of the deep Cromarty Firth and with a fine natural harbour, Invergordon is a charming coastal gateway to the beautiful Scottish Highlands. The incredible Scottish scenery forms a stunning backdrop to the romantic castles and historic battlefields that feature in optional excursions such as the Glenmorangie Distillery and a visit to Loch Ness with its legendary monster.

Day 6 - At Sea

Enjoy the ship’s facilities on a relaxing day at sea.

Day 7 - Portsmouth

A dynamic and vibrant waterfront city, Portsmouth is an irresistible mix of history and heritage. The city is home to one of the most important naval bases in the United Kingdom and the Historic Dockyard reveals 800 years of naval history. The Mary Rose Museum, and the famous warships HMS Victory and HMS Warrior further illustrate Portsmouth’s rich maritime history.

Day 8-9 - Cruising River Seine - Rouen (France)

Cruise the pretty River Seine to the delightful city of Rouen. Victor Hugo called Rouen ‘the city of a hundred spires’. Its Old Town is a delightful maze of narrow, cobblestone streets lined with fine half-timbered houses and wonderful Gothic churches including the magnificent Cathedrale Notre Dame and the Eglise St. Maclou. Rouen’s Place du Vieux-Marche is famous as the site where Joan of arc was burned at the stake in 1431.

Day 10 - St. Peter Port, Guernsey

Castle Cornet has stood guard over St Peter Port for over 800 years. See the picturesque waterfront of grey and white stone buildings, stroll along the cobbled streets and take in the Anglo-French ambiance.

Day 11 - At Sea

Enjoy the ship’s facilities on a relaxing day at sea.

Day 12 - Liverpool

Disembark Magellan in Liverpool. Liverpool is a city rich in culture and heritage with several museums and galleries, including the Merseyside Maritime Museum. It is also the birthplace of the Beatles and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
