Discover the tranquillity of Norway’s most stunning fjords and enjoy the scenery of still blue waters, green forests and towering mountain peaks punctuated by tumbling waterfalls.

Call at the cosmopolitan city of Belfast and Lerwick on the Shetland Islands, where the extraordinary archaeological site of Jarlshof reveals over 4,000 years of human history on this remote archipelago. Bergen is known as the Gateway to the Fjords and is majestically located with a backdrop of seven mountains. The colourful Bryggen Wharf overlooks the harbour; its wooden gabled buildings were once the homes and offices of Hanseatic merchants.

Cruise Sognefjord to Flam which is famous for its spectacular railway which winds its way through the breathtaking mountain scenery of the steep-sided Flam Valley. Optional excursions from Eidfjord include the amazing Voringfossen waterfall and the magnificent Sysen Dam.

Breathtaking Norway Itinerary

Day 1 - Greenock (Scotland)

Embark Magellan in Greenock.

Day 2 - Belfast (Northern Ireland)

The cosmopolitan city of Belfast is home to Titanic Belfast, the museum exploring the legend of the Titanic. At the heart of today’s cosmopolitan city is Belfast’s elegant City Hall, which stands in Donegal Square. Perhaps discover the extraordinary Giant’s Causeway on an optional excursion from the city.

Day 3 - At Sea

Enjoy the ship’s facilities on a relaxing day at sea.

Day 4 - Lerwick (Shetland Islands)

Lerwick was founded as an unofficial marketplace to service 17th-century Dutch herring fleets. Hay's Dock is home to the Shetland Museum and Archives. On the southern tip of Mainland is the impressive archaeological site of Jarlshof.

Day 5 - Bergen (Norway)

Bergen is beautifully located against a backdrop of seven mountains. Perhaps take the funicular ride to the summit of Mount Floien for panoramic views of Bergen, or explore the traditional wooden buildings of the colourful Bryggen wharf.

Day 6 - Flåm

Cruise Sognefjord to the village of Flam which is surrounded by towering mountains and nestles at the head of Aurlandsfjord. In the late 19th century, royals were attracted by the salmon fishing in the Flam River. Today, visitors flock to Flam for the opportunity to ride on the world famous railway, a masterpiece of engineering.

Day 7 - Eidfjord

Cruise Hardangerfjord and arrive at Eidfjord. This charming town is the gateway to Hardangervidda, Norway’s largest national park. From here, perhaps visit the beautiful Voringfossen waterfall or the amazing Sysen Dam on optional excursions.

Days 8-9 - At Sea

Enjoy the ship’s facilities on relaxing days at sea.

Day 10 - Greenock (Scotland)

Disembark Magellan in Greenock.
