Cruising Norway’s spectacular Fjordland is a wonderful experience and one that is all the more special in the Spring. You’ll enjoy a kaleidoscope of incredible images from gentle slopes, towering peaks capped in dazzling snow and remote mountain farms clinging to steep hillsides.

Voyage through the beautiful Hardangerfjord to the small town of Eidfjord which features an old church built in 1309. Nearby, see the spectacular Voringfossen waterfall before heading to the tiny village of Flam which is home to one of the world’s steepest and most incredible railways.

Journey through Nordfjord to the charming village of Olden, from which you can explore the magnificent Briksdal Glacier. Colourful Bergen, the 'Gateway to the Fjords' makes for a great final port of call with its characteristic wooden gabled shops selling crafts and traditional souvenirs.

Fjordland Splendour Itinerary

Day 1 - Poole (UK)

Embark Astoria in Poole.

Day 2-3 - At Sea

Enjoy the ship’s facilities on a relaxing days at sea.

Day 4 - Cruising Hardangerfjord - Eidfjord (Norway)

Cruise Hardangerfjord and arriving at Eidfjord. This charming town is the gateway to Hardangervidda, Norway’s largest national park. From here, perhaps visit the beautiful Voringfossen waterfall or the amazing Sysen Dam on optional excursions.

Day 5 - Flåm - Cruising Sognefjord

The village of Flam is surrounded by towering mountains and nestled at the head of Aurlandsfjord. In the late 19th century, royals were attracted by the salmon fishing in the Flam River. Today, visitors flock to Flam for the opportunity to ride on the world famous railway, a masterpiece of engineering. Later, cruise Sognefjord.

Day 6 - Cruising Nordfjord - Olden

The village of Olden is situated at the end of the innermost arm of the mighty Nordfjord. Steep mountains tower on both sides of the valley, making the village of Olden one of the most charming and idyllic in Western Norway with the opportunity to visit the Briksdal Glacier.

Day 7 - Bergen

Known as the ‘Gateway to the Fjords’, Bergen is Norway’s second largest city. It is beautifully sited against a backdrop of seven mountains and the funicular ride to the summit of Mount Fløien affords wonderful panoramic views of Bergen and Norway’s attractive coastline. Overlooking the harbour the colourful Bryggen wharf is the face of Bergen. The characteristic wooden gabled buildings were once the home and offices of Hanseatic merchants but today house shops selling crafts and traditional souvenirs.

Day 8-9 - At Sea

Enjoy the ship’s facilities on a relaxing days at sea.

Day 10 - Poole (UK)

Disembark Astoria in Poole.
