Day 1 - Bristol Avonmouth (UK)

Embark Marco Polo in Bristol Avonmouth.

Day 2 - At Sea

Enjoy the ship’s facilities on a relaxing day at sea.

Day 3 - La Coruna (Spain)

La Coruna, nicknamed the Crystal City, is situated in the beautiful region of Galicia. Admire the glass-fronted buildings along the seafront promenade and the Torre del Hercules lighthouse. Peruse the beautiful old streets in Ciudad Vieja and explore the colonnaded Maria Pita Square.

Day 6 - Horta (Azores)

Horta is a colourful small port on Faial Island, one of the nine volcanic islands that make up the Azores. Horta's European influence can be seen in the many fine examples of ornate and beautiful churches, the Torre do Relogio Clock Tower and the 16th-century Forte de Santa Cruz.

Day 7 - Ponta Delgada

Magnificent architecture, 16th and 17th century artwork, and an array of fine churches are among the highlights of the pretty island of Ponta Delgada. The Archipelago of the Azores consists of nine volcanic islands situated in the middle of the North Atlantic, the largest being Sao Miguel, with its principal port city of Ponta Delgada.

Day 9 - Funchal (Madeira)

Funchal is the capital of Madeira and set in a spectacular natural ampitheatre. As Marco Polo approaches, admire the whitewashed buildings with red tiled roofs tumbling down the mountain. A cable car runs above the city to Monte, the start of the wicker toboggan ride. Popular souvenirs include wicker baskets and the famous Madeira wine.

Day 11 - Lisbon

The Portuguese capital has a quirky charm and much character. The steep, cobbled streets of the ancient Moorish Alfama district lead to wonderful viewpoints looking over the city. Perhaps enjoy a visit to the unique four-storey Belem Tower fortress, the breathtaking Jeronimos Monastery or the modern Monument to the Discoveries, shaped like the prow of a sailing ship. Lisbon's magnificent harbour is spanned by the longest suspension bridge in Europe.

Days 12-13 - At Sea

Day 14 - Cobh (Ireland)

Cobh lies at the mouth of the River Lee and has one of the best natural harbours in the world. See the brightly coloured houses which line the streets from the waterfront and the imposing St Coleman's Cathedral. Cobh is also the gateway to the city of Cork and optional excursions to the legendary Blarney Castle.

Day 15 - Bristol Avonmouth (UK)

Disembark Marco Polo in Bristol Avonmouth.
