Day 2 - 4 - At Sea

Enjoy the ship’s facilities on a relaxing day at sea.

Day 5 - Reykjavik

Reykjavik is one of the world's smallest capital cities and boasts magnificent mosaics, spectacular sculptures and colourful houses. Perhaps visit the classic 'Golden Circle' with its lava fields, bubbling mud pools and impressive geysers on an optional excursion along with the chance to bathe in the famous Blue Lagoon.

Day 6 - 7 - At Sea

Day 8 - Qaqortoq

Qaqortoq was founded in 1775 and still reveals some examples of colonial-period architecture. It is the largest town in South Greenland and one of the most charming with a pleasant town centre and a small square with Greenland’s oldest fountain.

Day 9 - Narsarsuaq

Significant in Norse history as being near to the location of famed explorer Erik the Red’s farm Brattahlið, Narsarsaug is today a destination for tourists keen to see the learn more about the Eastern Settlement of the Norsemen which is nearby. Narsarsuag also features the unique Arboretum Groenlandicum, an Arctic botanical garden that is home to more than 110 species of trees stretching across 15 hectares.

Day 11 - Sisimiut

Sisimiut has been a settlement for 4500 years and the town itself was established in 1756. The oldest and most notable building in the town, is the blue church which dates back to 1775. It is now the second largest town in Greenland and it combines traditional Inuit culture with modern western society.

Day 12 - 13 - Ilulissat

Ilulissat is a paradise for icebergs; optional boat tours get even closer to these giant natural sculptures. Perhaps hike along the Ilulissat Ice Fjord, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where you might feel the rumble of the glacier calving or hear the icebergs colliding with each other as they find their way out to sea.

Day 14 - Qeqertarsuaq

Land at the island of Qeqertarsuaq (also known is Disko Island) by launch or tender and explore its port town of the same name. Although the island itself consists of lush green hills and volcanic rock formations, the Lyngmark Glacier is in close proximity, meaning that Qeqertarsuaq is the only town in Greenland where dog sledding is possible all year round.

Day 16 - Nanortalik

Nanortalik, Greenland's most southerly town means 'place of polar bears'.

Day 17 - 19 - At Sea

Day 20 - Lerwick, Shetland Isles

Lerwick was founded as an unofficial marketplace to service 17th century Dutch herring fleets. Hay's Dock is home to the Shetland Museum and Archives. On the southern tip of Mainland is the impressive archaeological site of Jarlshof.
