Day 3 - Kirkwall (Orkney Islands)

Kirkwall is the capital of the Orkney archipelago. Visit the spectacular St. Magnus Cathedral which is a legacy of the town's rich Viking heritage and dominates the town's skyline. Perhaps explore the magnificent archaeological site of Skara Brae and witness the Neolithic standing stones.

Day 5 - Reykjavík (Iceland)

Quirky Reykjavik is one of the world's smallest capital cities and boasts spectacular sculptures, cutting-edge art galleries and colourful houses. Perhaps visit the classic 'Golden Circle' with its lava fields, bubbling mud pools and impressive hot springs on an optional excursion along with the chance to bathe in the famous Blue Lagoon.

Day 7 - Passage Prince Christian Sound

Admire the majestic scenery of soaring mountains and glistening glaciers as the ship journeys through the mighty Prince Christian Sound.

Day 8 - Qaqortoq (Greenland)

The charming town of Qaqortoq is the largest town in South Greenland and was founded in 1775. The town boasts brilliant examples of colonial-period architecture and its small square is a delight to explore, here you will find Greenland's oldest fountain.

Day 9 - Narsarsuaq

The sleepy village of Narsarsuaq is ideal for those keen to learn more about the history of the region. The Norse Vikings settled here centuries ago and close by is the location of famed explorer Erik the Red’s farm Brattahlið.

Day 11 - Sisimiut

Venture into the Arctic Circle at Sisimiut, where optional bus tours offer a relaxing way to admire the views. Perhaps take a trip to the old quarter and absorb the town’s history, explore the Sisimiut Museum or visit the Taseralik Culture Centre.

Day 12 - Uummannaq

Some people consider Uummannaq as Greenland's most beautiful destination. Spend some time walking around this fascinating city which perfectly captures the Greenlandic spirit with its Inuit culture, friendly locals, sled dogs and fishermen.

Day 13-14 - Ilulissat

Ilulissat is a paradise for icebergs; optional boat tours get even closer to these giant natural sculptures. Perhaps hike along the Ilulissat Ice Fjord, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where you might feel the rumble of the glacier calving or hear the icebergs colliding with each other as they find their way out to sea.

Day 15 - Qeqertarsuaq

Land at the island of Qeqertarsuaq (also known is Disko Island) by launch or tender and explore its port town of the same name. Although the island itself consists of lush green hills and volcanic rock formations, the Lyngmark Glacier is in close proximity, meaning that Qeqertarsuaq is the only town in Greenland where dog sledding is possible all year round.

Day 17 - Nanortalik

Enjoy a call in quaint Nanortalik, Greenland's southernmost town. People often visit Nanortalik to learn more about the Eastern Settlement of the Norsemen which is nearby. Perhaps visit the unique Arboretum Groenlandicum, an Arctic botanical garden that is home to more than 110 species of trees stretching across 15 hectares

Day 18-20 - At Sea

Day 21 - Lerwick (Shetland Islands)

Lerwick was founded as an unofficial marketplace to service 17th century Dutch herring fleets. Hay's Dock is home to the Shetland Museum and Archives. On the southern tip of Mainland is the impressive archaeological site of Jarlshof.

Day 22 - At Sea
