Cannes to Rome Itinerary

Day 1 - Cannes (France)

Embark Star Clipper in Cannes.

Day 2 - Monaco

Monaco is the fabled domain of princes and movie stars. The magnificent Palais du Prince and opulent casinos remind you of an elegant, pre-war era. With more wealth concentrated in one small area than almost any place on earth, this tiny principality retains its gilt edged allure.

Day 3 - L'ile Rousse (Corsica)

Crowded with yachts flying burgees hailing from the world's most prestigious yacht clubs, the harbour of St. Florent is a regatta of colours. Take an optional excursion to the peninsula of Cap Corse, where medieval watchtowers dot the cliff tops every few miles.

Day 4 - Ajaccio

Ajaccio has a justified reputation as a very stylish city. Napoleon Bonaparte was born here in 1769, and as you would expect the city has many sites relating to him, from his childhood home to seafront statues, museums and street names. Its immediate surroundings are a paradise for hikers, mountain bikers, trekkers and climbers. It provides a whole range of outdoor activities which you can enjoy by yourself or with professionals.

Day 5 - Bonifacio

Medieval houses cling on to soaring limestone cliffs in the beautiful Mediterranean town of Bonifacio. Perhaps explore the labyrinth of charming streets and traditional cafes in the beautiful Old Town, admire the impressive 9th-century citadel or wander around the marina, full of luxury yachts.

Day 6 - East Corsica Beach - Bastia Old Town

East Corsica Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in Corsica. The water is crystal clear, calm and warm, but the main attraction of the beach is that it is never crowded. Bastia looks like it stepped right out of the travel diary of a 19th century Grand Tour. Bastia's gracious Italianate buildings were created to house the administrative offices of the capital of Haute Corse.

Day 7 - Portoferraio (Italy) - Elba

Known as the Pearl of the Mediterranean, Elba is a glorious paradise of azure waters, hidden coves, tranquil beaches and stunning views. Elba's restaurants serve excellent seafood, and small private vineyards produce local Moscato and Aleatico wines.

Day 8 - Civitavecchia

Disembark Star Clipper in Civitavecchia

The Captain reserves the right to alter the itinerary to suit wind and weather conditions.
