Join Azamara Pursuit in Buenos Aires, nicknamed the 'Paris of South America', and cruise to Punta del Este which is home to the Brava Beach open air sculpture park with its magnificent works of art in steel, wood and marble.

Discover an abundance of wildlife in the remote Falkland Islands, before an overnight stop in Ushuaia, a haven for adventurers and the gateway to the breathtaking Tierra del Fuego National Park. Glacial fjords, small islands and vast channels await as you spend a couple of days cruising the stunning Chilean fjords en route to Puerto Chacabuco, surrounded by incredible fjords.

Puerto Montt is the capital of Chile's Lake District, while Valparaiso is a UNESCO World Heritage Site offering some of the best in Chilean art, food and culture. Explore the stunning beach resort of Iquique and discover the small fishing town of Pisco, from where you can visit the unique Ballestas Islands and UNESCO-listed Paracas National Reserve.

South America Itinerary

Day 1 - Buenos Aires (Argentina)

Embark Azamara Pursuit in Buenos Aires.

Day 2 - Punta del Este (Uruguay)

Punta del Este has stunning white sandy beaches and a wealth of fashionable cafes and shops. The Brava Beach open air sculpture park displays works of art produced in steel, wood and iron.

Days 3-4 - Punta del Este

Montevideo exudes elegance with wide boulevards, ornate foundations and stately squares. Perhaps discover the Art Nouveau pedestrian mall or head to Centenary Stadium. Optional excursions include a panoramic tour of the city, a Merino Wool knitting workshop, and a guided bike tour.

Days 5-7 - At sea

Enjoy the ship's facilities during relaxing days at sea.

Days 8-9 - Ushuaia (Argentina) - Beagle Channel

Ushuaia has a reputation for outdoor adventure. It is the gateway to the Tierra del Fuego National Park with its numerous hiking trails and abundance of wildlife. Perhaps join the 4x4 off-road excursion along an old woodcutter's trail taking in the breathtaking scenery, or board a kayak and explore the Beagle Channel.

Day 10 - Punta Arenas (Chile)

Punta Arenas bridges the Pacific and the Atlantic and is a hive of activity. Optional excursions take in the breathtaking Torres del Paine National Park in the heart of Patagonia and Estancia Fitz Roy, a traditional Patagonian farm which has recently opened its doors to guests.

Days 11-12 - Chilean fjords

The Chilean fjords offer some of the most amazing scenery on earth, from glacial fjords to small islands and verdant rainforests.

Day 13 - Puerto Chacabuco

Puerto Chacabuco is surrounded by incredible fjords and bears similarities to Norway. Perhaps take the optional kayaking trip on Lake Los Palos, go cycling along the Carretera Austral or explore the Patagonian wilderness on horseback.

Day 14 - Puerto Montt

Puerto Montt is the capital of Chile's Lake District. Enjoy an optional cooking excursion, a hike through the Alerce Andino National Park, or learn about Chilean-German culture on a visit to the Antonio Felmers Museum.

Day 15 - At sea

Relax on board during a day at sea.

Day 16 - Valparaiso

UNESCO-listed Valparaiso has magnificent architecture and its beautiful hills have inspired poets and writers. Optional excursions include a wine tasting at the renowned Vinamar Winery, a look into the local street art scene in the neighbourhoods of Cerro Carcel and Cerro Alegre, and a bike ride between Vina del Mar and Valparaiso.

Day 17 - La Serena

The seaside city of Coquimbo and nearby La Serena are located between Chile's central valley and the vast Atacama Desert. Perhaps enjoy a wine tasting in the picturesque Elqui Valley, visit the Alfa Aldea Sun Observatory, or head to the Cerro Tololo Observatory, one of the largest astronomical observatories in the Southern Hemisphere.

Day 18 - At sea

Enjoy the ship's facilities on a relaxing day at sea.

Day 19 - Iquique

Iquique is home to beautiful wide beaches, the largest urban sand dune in the world and cobblestoned Baquedano Street with its nique 19th century Georgian and Victorian-style architecture.

Day 20 - At sea

Enjoy the ship's facilities on a relaxing day at sea.

Day 21 - Pisco (Peru)

The small fishing town of Pisco has a beautiful downtown area. From here there are optional excursions to the stunning Ballestas Islands, often known as the 'Peruvian Galapagos', the UNESCO-listed Paracas National Reserve, home to one of the world's richest marine ecosystems, or relax with a Hartha Yoga class.

Day 22 - Lima

Disembark Azamara Pursuit in Lima.
