From the Tierra del Fuego and its vast glacier valleys to the colourful villages dotted along the South American coastline, Le Soleal will take you to the diverse and contrasting landscapes of Chile, cruising deep into the stunning Chilean Fjords.

Zodiac boats will take you into the heart of these areas where you can see Humpback whales breaching and Magellanic penguins nestling nearby. Chiloe is a verdant island with remarkable architecture and a wide range of wildlife, while the colourful fishing village of Tortel in the heart of southern Patagonia has an array of spectacular sculptures created by local artists.

Le Soleal begins cruising the breathtaking Chilean fjords, a maze of narrow passages, channels and fjords leading to the majestic glaciers of Bruggen and El Brujo. Another highlight during your adventure in Patagonia is a visit to picturesque Puerto Natales at the southern tip of Chile, gateway to the beauty of the Torres del Paine National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. An amazing diversity of fauna lives in this extraordinary environment. You'll then cruise the famous Strait of Magellan and Beagle Channel, before navigating Cape Horn and arriving in Ushuaia.

Forward Itinerary

Day 1 - Valparaiso (Chile)

Embark Le Soleal in Valparaiso.

Day 2 - At sea

Enjoy the facilities on board as Le Soleal heads to Chiloe Island.

Day 3 - Quemchi

Visit the small fishing port of Quemchi on the eastern shore of Chiloe Island. See the pretty wooden houses and perhaps head to the fish market. The museum is dedicated to Francisco Coloane, a Chilean author and adventurer. The small island of Isla Aucar is accessible via a wooden footbrdige.

Day 4 - At sea

Relax on board during a day at sea.

Day 5 - Tortel

Le Soleal cruises to the Patagonian village of Tortel which is located between the Northern and Southern Patagonian Ice Field. See its houses on stilts and explore its endless streets. The village is also home to several impressive sculptures.

Day 6 - Pie XI Glacier

The Bruggen Glacier in southern Chile is also known as Pio XI. It is the largest of the glaciers which makes up the Southern Patagonian Ice Field. It straddles the southern Andes Mountains and is simply breathtaking.

Day 7 - El Brujo Glacier

El Brujo Glacier is located at the heart of Bernardo O'Higgings National Park, Chile's largest protected area. Watch this natural wonder changes as the light catches it at different angles.

Day 8 - Estero Las Montanas

The Estero Las Montanas fjord is also known as the 'Fjord of the Mountains'. Situated in the Alacalufes National Reserve, this former glacial valley seems to stretch for miles. It is surrounded by soaring mountains and verdant slopes.

Day 9 - Puerto Natales

Puerto Natales is located on the shores of Seno Ultima Esperanza and is the gateway to the Torres del Paine National Park with its breathtaking lakes, lagoons and waterfalls.

Day 10 - At sea

Spend the day at sea.

Day 11 - Garibaldi Glacier

Le Soleal cruises along the Garibaldi Fjord past stunning scenery, before arriving at Garibaldi Glacier. You may be lucky enough to see sea lions and numerous birds.

Day 12 - Beagle Channel - Cape Horn

Le Soleal navigates cruises the Beagle Channel and navigates Cape Horn.

Day 13 - Puerto Williams

The city of Puerto Williams is located on Navarino Island. Take a stroll along the streets set against a backdrop of the Patagonian Andes. Perhaps head to the Martin Gusinde museum of anthropology for an insight into the lives of the ancient indigenous people.

Day 14 - Ushuaia (Argentina) - Buenos Aires

Disembark Le Soleal in Ushuaia and take a short flight to Buenos Aires.

For navigational reasons the Captain of the ship reserves the right to modify the cruise itinerary.
