Venture deep into the maze of fjords and channels, set within unspoiled national parks overlooked by snow-capped volcanoes. Spot humpback whales and porpoises swimming playfully alongside the ship, and Magellanic penguins and elephant seals on shore. Visit the authentic and remote villages of Quemchi on the lush island of Chiloe, and Tortel, suspended above the water.

Exciting Zodiac excursions accompanied by the experienced expedition team allow up-close encounters with the amazing wildlife and towering blue-tinged glaciers of Pie XI, El Brujo, Agostini and Garibaldi. Finally cruise around the mythical Cape Horn to Ushuaia, the world's southern-most city.

Adventure in Patagonia Itinerary

Day 1 - Santiago (Chile) - Talcahuano

Fly from Santiago to Talcahuano and embark ship.

Day 2 - At sea

Enjoy the ship's facilities on a relaxing day at sea.

Day 3 - Quemchi

Visit the small fishing port of Quemchi on the eastern shore of Chiloe Island. See the pretty wooden houses and perhaps head to the fish market. There is a museum dedicated to Francisco Coloane, a Chilean author and adventurer born here. The small island of Isla Aucar is accessible via a wooden footbridge and is home to a wide variety of birdlife and a superb botanical garden.

Day 4 - Pulluche Canal

Sail through the landscapes of the Pulluche Canal, made up of islands, fjords and canals.The San Rafael Lake is home to varied wildlife including black-browed albatrosses, cormorants and marine mammals.

Day 5 - Tortel

Cruise to the colourful Patagonian village of Tortel which is located between the Northern and Southern Patagonian Ice Field. See its houses on stilts and explore its endless streets. The village is also home to several impressive sculptures.

Day 6 - Pie XI Glacier

Sail through the natural beauty of the English Passage. The Bruggen Glacier in southern Chile is also known as Pio XI. It is the largest of the glaciers which makes up the Southern Patagonian Ice Field. It straddles the southern Andes Mountains and is simply breathtaking.

Day 7 - El Brujo Glacier

El Brujo Glacier is located at the heart of Bernardo O'Higgings National Park, Chile's largest protected area. Watch this magical natural wonder changes as the light catches it at different angles.

Day 8 - Strait of Magellan

Cruise the mythical Strait of Magellan, following in the footsteps of the famous Portuguese explorer Ferdinand Magellan who organised the first circumnavigation of the globe in the 16th century.

Day 9 - Agostini Glacier

In the Tierra del Fuego archipelago, the Agostini Glacier is an imposing blue-tinged glacier offering stunning views over the Agostini fjord.

Day 10 - Garibaldi Glacier

Cruise along the Garibaldi Fjord past stunning scenery, before arriving at the towering Garibaldi Glacier. You may be lucky enough to see sea lions and numerous birds.

Day 11 - Cape Horn

Sail around the mythical Cape Horn, the meeting point of the Atlantic and Pacific oceans.

Day 12 - Puerto Williams - Ushuaia (Argentina)

The city of Puerto Williams is located on Navarino Island. Take a stroll along the streets set against a backdrop of the Patagonian Andes.

Day 13 - Ushuaia - Santiago (Chile)

Disembark ship in Ushuaia and transfer to the airport for the flight to Santiago.

For navigational reasons the Captain of the ship reserves the right to modify the cruise itinerary.
