Explore Craighouse, the only village on the tranquil island of Jura, then visit Islay for a concert at Laphroaig Distillery performed by musicians of the Cantilena Festival. Discover the ancient site of Finlaggan then board a local boat to explore the breathtaking Fingal's Cave which has inspired musicians and artists alike. The next port of call is the sacred island of Iona which is the birthplace of Christianity in Scotland.

Enjoy a spot of birdwatching on Coll before a delightful on-board concert performed by musicians from the Mendelssohn on Mull Festival. Take the mountain gondola to the summit of Aonach Mor then visit the spectacular 13th-century Duart Castle for a farewell champagne reception, hosted by Clan Chief, Sir Lachlan Maclean.

Hebridean Concerto Itinerary

Day 1 - Oban (Scotland)

Embark Hebridean Princess in Oban.

Day 2 - Jura - Islay

Sail to the delightful Isle of Jura and enjoy a gentle walk to Craighouse, the only village on the island. Later, on the neighbouring island of Islay there is a concert at Laphroaig Distillery, performed by musicians of the Cantilena Festival.

Day 3 - Islay

Visit the ancient site of Finlaggan and discover why Islay is referred to as the Cradle of Clan Donald before sailing the Sound of Islay and along the west coast of Mull.

Day 4 - Staffa - Iona

Travel by local boat to Fingal’s Cave with its magnificent hexagonal basalt columns; its sheer size and eerie sounds produced by the waves have inspired music and legends over the centuries. Rejoin the ship and cruise to Iona, the birthplace of Christianity in Scotland. The exiled missionary St Columba founded his community in 563 and the restored abbey is sill a revered place of pilgrimage today.

Day 5 - Coll - Tobermory

Sail to the island of Coll for walks amongst the many species of birds and the white sandy beaches, then explore the colourful capital of Tobermory on the Isle of Mull. This evening there is an enchanting on-board concert performed by musicians from the Mendelssohn on Mull Festival.

Day 6 - Glenmore Bay - Loch a Choire

At Glenmore Bay learn more about the flora and fauna of the area at the Nàdurra Centre then explore the Kingairloch Estate.

Day 7 - Fort William - Craignure

Cruise Loch Linnhe then take the mountain gondola up the north face of Aonach Mòr, the 8th highest mountain in Britain. The cruise culminates with a farewell champagne reception at Duart Castle, hosted by Clan Chief, Sir Lachlan Maclean.

Day 8 - Oban

Disembark Hebridean Princess in Oban.
