Experience the best of Dutch and Belgian cuisine as you cruise the region's beautiful network of waterways on this tulip time cruise, which includes a visit to the famous Keukenhof Gardens.

Discover the medieval heart of Antwerp, known as the 'Diamond Capital of the World'. See the stunning Renaissance Town Hall, Market Square and Gothic Cathedral of Our Lady, before cruising to Brussels. The city's Art Deco facades and regal 19th-century mansions contrast with the beautiful medieval core. During your time in Belgium's capital, try some chocolates, created by one of the master chocolatiers.

Take a stroll through Maastricht, one of Holland's oldest cities, before travelling to the vineyards which grace the slopes of the Limburg Hills. Meet the Bollen family and sample some of their award-winning red and white wines, before returning to the ship and cruising to Cuijk, your gateway to the village of Nuenen where Vincent van Gogh created over a quarter of his works of art.

Gouda is renowned for its cheese and a visit to the Cheese and Craft Museum reveals how the cheese is made and how it has been traded for centuries. Your final day is spent at the world-famous Keukenhof Gardens, over 70 acres of gardens and parkland. Admire the spectacular displays of flowers in full bloom, including tulips, daffodils, roses and lillies.

Flavours of the Low Countries Itinerary

Day 1 - UK - Antwerp (Belgium)

Fly from London Heathrow to Brussels or travel by rail from St Pancras to Brussels, then transfer to Antwerp, where you'll embark your ship.

Day 2 - Antwerp

Spend the day in Antwerp, known as the 'Diamond Capital of the World'. A guided tour takes you to the city's medieval heart to see the Renaissance Town Hall, Market Square and Brabo Fountain, not forgetting the Gothic Cathedral of Our Lady. Amer lunch, head to the printing office and house of the Plantin Moretus family for a unique insight into this influential publishing dynasty.

Day 3 - Brussels

Belgium's capital, Brussels, offers a fascinating mix of architecture, from Art Deco facades to 19th-century mansions and medieval buildings. It is also renowned for its chocolate making and your tour concludes with a tasting of chocolate created by one of the master chocolatiers.

Day 4 - Maastricht (Holland)

Maastricht is one of the oldest cities in Holland which you will explore on a stroll. Until the late 19th-century, Maastricht was a fortified city with strong walls and bunkers. Churches and merchant houses blend seamlessly with a range of architectural styles. Just outside of the city, many vineyards grace the slopes of the Limburg hills. Some were planted in Roman times. Sample award-winning red and white wines from the lime-rich soil.

Day 5 - Cuijk - Nuenen

Visit the Van Gogh village of Nuenen to learn about how the artists lived and worked. During the two years that he returned to Nuenen to live with his parents, he created over one quarter of his total works. Spend the afternoon cruising the Dutch waterways to Schoonhoven.

Day 6 - Schoonhoven - Gouda

Gouda cheese is one of Holland's biggest exports. Today 60% of Dutch cheese is produced in the region which surrounds Gouda, known as Cheese Valley. The Cheese and Craft Museum documents how the cheese is made and how the products have been traded for centuries. A walking tour of Gouda's historic centre takes in monuments including Sint Janskerk, the longest church in Holland and renowned for its Gouda windows. Another highlight is the old City Hall.

Day 7 - Amsterdam - Keukenhof Gardens

Enjoy a visit to Keukenhof Gardens to see the blooming tulips and other colourful flowers. The gardens encompass over 70 acres of gardens and parkland. Take in the incredible displays of over seven million bulbs in bloom, as well as the shimmering lakes and water gardens.
