Belgium and Holland at Tulip Time Itinerary
Day 1 - UK - Amsterdam (Holland)
Arrive in Amsterdam and transfer to your ship. After boarding, enjoy time at leisure to explore this city. (D)
Day 2 - Amsterdam
After breakfast, enjoy a canal tour on a glass-topped boat, before returning to the ship for lunch. Enjoy time at leisure where you can visit Anne Frank House or the Van Gogh Museum. Dine aboard. Evening departure. (B,L,D)
Day 3 - Hoorn
This morning, sail across the Ijsselmeer to the village of Hoorn. After breakfast, enjoy a guided walk through Hoorn where you can see age-old cheese warehouses. Enjoy lunch on board and spend the afternoon at leisure. Alternatively, take an optional excursion showcasing the charming towns and spectacular landscapes of the northern Holland area or visit the bulb fields and greenhouses of a Dutch nursery. The ship departs during dinner and cruises through the night. (B,L,D)
Day 4 - Arnhem
Arrived in Arnhem and enjoy a visit to the Operation Market Garden which was an ill-fated Allied World War II operation. Watch a battle reenactment on a visit to the Airborne Museum and pay your respects at the Airborne Cemetery. There are optional excursions to the Kroller-Muller Museum and the Netherlands Open Air Museum. (B,L,D)
Day 5 - Kinderdijk
Enjoy a tour of Kinderdijk, where you can learn about the windmills and tour an actual working windmill at this World Heritage Site, taking a close look at the pumping mechanism and living quarters. After lunch on board the ship, cruise to Antwerp. (B,L,D)
Day 6 - Antwerp (Belgium)
This morning, take a half-day tour of Antwerp with highlights including the Grote Markt overlooked by the Town Hall and Het Steen, the city's oldest building. Enjoy time at leisure in the afternoon, before dining aboard and cruising to Ghent. (B,L,D)
Day 7 - Ghent - Bruges
From Ghent, travel to the town of Bruges. Enjoy a city walk with highlights including the Church of Our Lady and the Beguinage, a hidden courtyard inhabited by nuns. Stay in Bruges for lunch on your own or return to Ghent for lunch on board the ship and an afternoon at leisure. Evening departure from Ghent. (B,L,D)
Day 8 - Zeeland (Holland)
After breakfast, travel to the region of Walcheren. Stop in Veere and enjoy a walking tour, before travelling to the Delta Works, an impressive system of doors which can be lowered during spring tides to protect the area from flooding. Rejoin your ship for lunch and afternoon sailing. (B,L,D)
Day 9 - Keukenhof Gardens - Amsterdam
After breakfast, travel to the vibrant Keukenhof Gardens which boasts indoor and outdoor exhibits, before returning aboard for lunch. Spend the rest of the day at leisure. Perhaps explore Museum Square or enjoy a bike ride. Dinner is served on the ship. Spend free time in Amsterdam this evening as the ship remains moored overnight. Note: Due to the opening schedule of Keukenhof Gardens, the Day 9 program may be exchanged with the Day 2 program and vice versa on select departures. (B,L,D)
Day 10 - Amsterdam - UK
After breakfast, disembark and travel to the airport for your flight back to the UK. (B)
