Paris and the Heart of Normandy Itinerary
Day 1 - UK - Paris (France)
Fly to Paris and transfer to your ship. After boarding, take free time to explore this renowned "City of Light". (D)
Day 2 - Paris
After breakfast, embark on a tour of this magnificent city, with highlights including the Eiffel Tower and the Cathedral of Notre Dame. Drive past the Louvre, the Opera House and the famous Champs-Elysees. Dinner on board. (B,D)
Day 3 - La Roche Guyon - Giverny
Arrive in La Roche Guyon before breakfast then enjoy a guided tour of the town's picturesque streets. After lunch travel to the town of Giverny to see Claude Monet's house and gardens, including the famous water garden with Japanese bridge. Dinner on board. Monet's garden is not available before 23 Mar or after 1 November. A visit to the village of Auvers-sur-Oise will be offered instead. (B,L,D)
Day 4 - Rouen
Enjoy scenic cruising along the Seine this morning before visiting the medieval city of Rouen where you can enjoy a walking tour with highlights including the magnificent Notre Dame Cathedral and the Gros Horloge, a 16th-century astronomical clock. Also visit the courthouse where Joan of Arc was sentenced to death. Enjoy time at leisure before dining aboard or in a local cafe. The ship remains moored overnight. (B,L,D)
Day 5 - Normandy Beaches
Enjoy a full-day tour to the Normandy beaches where you will see the Gold Beach, Courseulles sur Mer and Juno Beach, before visiting World War II landmarks including the American Military Cemetery and Arromanches Debarkment D-Day Museum. Alternatively, enjoy a tour of Bayeux. See the famous tapestry before continuing along the Normandy coast and enjoying free time at Juno Beach. Have dinner and relax on board or perhaps take an evening stroll. (B, L, D)
Day 6 - Les Andelys
Visit Les Andelys where you can enjoy a guided walk to Chateau Gaillard, built by Richard the Lionheart. This stronghold was built in the 12th century and is considered the most dramatic sight along the Seine. Return to the ship for scenic cruising and dinner. (B,L,D)
Day 7 - Mantes-la-Jolie
Visit Chateau de Malmaison, where Napoleon Bonaparte spent his final days in France, or join an optional tour to the Palace of Versailles. Note: On selected departures the places visited may vary slightly. (B,L,D)
Day 8 - Paris - UK
After breakfast, disembark and transfer to Paris Airport for your return journey to the UK. (B)
