La Belle France Itinerary
Day 1 - UK - Paris (France)
Fly from the UK to Paris and emmbark Amadeus Diamond late afternoon. Enjoy a welcome cocktail on board. The ship sets sail for Conflans during the Welcome Dinner.
Day 2 - Conflans
Join the optional excursion and follow in the footsteps of the Impressionists to the small town of Auvers-sur-Oise, where Vincent van Gogh is buried, before spending time at leisure this afternoon.
Day 3 - Rouen
This morning, enjoy an optional walking tour of Rouen, with highlights including the impressive Gothic cathedral and Le Gros Horloge. Return to the ship for lunch before setting off on an optional excursion; you can either join a guided visit to the Rouen Museum of Fine Arts or explore the countryside with a visit to Domaine Duclos Fougeray - a Norman farmhouse.
Day 4 - Le Havre
This morning, the ship docks at Le Havre. Today's excursions allow you to admire Normandy's wonderful scenery. This morning, take the optional tour to the Alabaster Coast and enjoy a walk along the clifftop paths of Etretat. This afternoon, take the opportunity to visit Honfleur on an optional excursion. Alternatively, join an excursion along the Cote Fleurie. Return to the ship for dinner, and enjoy the music of local chanson singers.
Day 5 - Le Havre - Caudebec en Caux
There is an optional full-day excursion to Normandy. Experience a combination of rich culinary traditions and historic landmarks including the closest harbour linked with the liberation of Western Europe after D-Day – the city of Arromanches, with its remnants of World War II. For those remaining on board, this afternoon offers the chance to explore the relaxing town of Caudebec-en-Caux on a walking tour. Or choose an excursion to Fécamp, a seaside resort and home to Le Palais Bénédictine, which produces the famous Bénédictine liqueur.
Day 6 - Les Andelys – Vernon
Moor in the town of Les Andelys in the shadow of Chateau Gaillard. Relax here or take the optional tour to Giverny to visit Monet's House and Garden. Alternatively, take the optional visit to Chateau de Malmaison, or perhaps visit La Roche Guyon and its magnificent Chateau.
Day 7 - Paris
This morning, arrive in Paris, one of the most romantic cities in the world. Perhaps take the optional tour of the city with highlights including the Eiffel Tower and Les Invalides. Alternatively, visit the artists’ district of Montmartre and the Sacre-Coeur.
Day 8 - Paris - UK
Disembark Amadeus Diamond after breakfast and transfer to the airport for the return flight to the UK.
