Day 1 - UK - St Petersburg (Russia)

Fly from the UK to St Petersburg and transfer to the Kempinski Hotel Moika 22 for an overnight stay. (D)

Day 2 - St Petersburg

In 2019, enjoy a hydrofoil ride to Peterhof Palace for a guided tour and explore the opulent grounds with their cascading fountains, often referred to as the Versailles of Russia. Later, transfer to your luxurious river ship, the MS Valentina. In 2020, see Isaac's Cathedral, the Nevsky Prospect and Palace Square, before heading to Peter and Paul Fortress plus the Church of the Savoir on Spilled Blood. Later, enjoy a tour of Peterhof Palace, before embarking MS Valentina. (B,L,D)

Day 3 - St Petersburg

In 2019, enjoy a tour of Catherine Palace and its grounds built as a summer palace for the Empress. Spend time at leisure this afternoon before enjoying a ballet performance at the Hermitage Theatre. In 2020, enjoy a hydrofoil rude on the Neva River to the State Hermitage museum, home to Russia's royal art collection. Your special Signature Experience is a before hours visit where you will take in the exclusive Hermitage Peacock Clock Ceremony before a tour. Day 4 - St Petersburg

In 2019, take a hydrofoil over the Neva River to the State Hermitage, home to Russia's royal art collection of more than three million works. Today's Signature Experience allows you to tour the museum before it is open to the public and watch the exclusive Hermitage Peacock Clock Ceremony. This afternoon see Peter and Paul Fortress, St Isaac's Cathedral, the Nevsky Prospect and Palace Square on a guided sightseeing tour. In 2020, explore Catherine Palace and grounds. (B,L,D)

Day 5 - Svirstroy or Mandrogi

2019: Signature Experience - See how the locals live when you are welcomed into the home of a Russian family to enjoy morning tea and traditional pastries with them. Later there will be time to browse for homemade trinkets in the village of Svirstroy. (B,L,D) 2020: Dock in Mandrogi this morning and explore this charming village with its traditional houses before browsing handmade trinkets at the local market. Perhaps visit the Vodka Museum. Day 6 - Kizhi Island

Visit World Heritage-listed Kizhi situated on Lake Onega. It is home to some of Russia's most impressive wooden architecture. Explore the open-air museum of buildings where you can see the Church of the Transfiguration which was built without a single nail. (B,L,D)

Day 7 - Goritsy

Dock in the peaceful farming town of Goritsy where you can take a guided tour with highlights including the Monastery of St Cyril of the White Lake. (B,L,D)

Day 8 - Yaroslavl

Explore the Golden Ring city of Yaroslavl, one of Russia's oldest cities. Discover impressive architecture on your guided tour, including the Spassy Monastery and the Church of Elia the Prophet. (B,L,D)

Day 9 - Uglich

Cruise along the Moscow Canal to the Volga River and dock in Uglich, a fascinating Golden Ring city. Enjoy a guided tour with highlights including the Kremlin and the Church of St Demetrios on the Blood. In 2020, there is also the opportunity to visit the Hydroelectric Engineering Museum. (B,L,D)

Day 10 - Moscow

In 2019, there is a choice of two sightseeing activities. Discover Russia's National Gallery, Tretyakov Art Gallery, or enjoy a visit to the Memorial Museum of Cosmonautics where you can see a range of exhibits. In 2020, enjoy a tour of Red Square and St Basil's Cathedral. (B,L,D)

Day 11 - Moscow

Tour the Armoury Museum within the walls of the Kremlin which was once the royal residence of the Tsars. In 2020, you can also visit the Memorial Museum of Cosmonautics, or explore Tretyakov Art Gallery, Russia’s National Gallery.(B,L,D)

Day 12 - Moscow

In 2019, disembark ship and enjoy a tour of Moscow with highlights including the Red Square, St Basil's Cathedral and a trip on the Moscow Metro. Later, tour a WWII bunker and enjoy a haunting private performance by a military choir. Stay overnight in the Hotel Baltschug Kempinski. In 2020, disembark the ship and see Moscow's unique Metro stations which feature chandeliers and marble statues. This evening, enjoy a Farewell Dinner, accompanied by traditional Russian folklore. Stay at the Hotel Baltschug Kempinksi. (B,L,D)

Day 13 - Moscow - UK

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight home. (B)
