Day 1 - UK - Moscow (Russia)
Fly from from London Heathrow to Moscow where you will be transferred to your ship; the Scenic Tsar. (D)
Day 2 - Moscow
Enjoy a morning of exploration as you visit some of the city's greatest sights on a guided tour. Enjoy an insightful ride on Moscow's metro and explore the magnificent St. Basil's Cathedral before visiting the Memorial Museum of Cosmonauts. Here you can learn about the fascinating history of space exploration and meet a real cosmonaut. (B,L,D)
Day 3 - Moscow
On your final day in Moscow, discover the Kemlin; a fortified complex at the heart of Moscow which includes the State Armoury. (B,L,D)
Day 4 - Uglich
Today you have a choice of visiting the remarkable Church of St. Dmitry or taking a guided tour of the interesting Penny Whistle Museum. (B,L,D)
Day 5 - Yaroslavl - Kostroma
Spend your morning exploring the historical city of Yaroslavl on a guided tour before heading to Kostroma. Kostroma is part of the Golden Ring of Russia and the cradle of the Romanovs. Visit the Choreographic College of National Ballet and enjoy a musical concert in the Noble Assembly House. (B,L,D)
Day 6 - Kostroma - Plyos
Explore the city of Kostroma with a tour guide before heading to the town of Plyos which is more than 800 years old. (B,L,D)
Day 7 - Nizhny Novgorod
Founded in 1221, Niznhy Novgorod is often known as the third capital of Russia. Enjoy a guided tour of the city with visits to the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin, or discover Maxim Gorky's Museum House. (B,L,D)
Day 8 - Nizhny - Kazan
Sit back and relax as you sail along Russia's scenic and majestic waterways towards the city of Kazan.
Day 9 - Kazan
Boasting more than 1,000 years of history, Kazan is a fantastic city to explore. Visit some of Kazan's greatest sights including the remarkable Kazan Kremlin and the Tatar village of Tugan Avylym. Later in the day, enjoy a traditional Tatar folklore performance. (B,L,D)
Day 10 - Ulyanovsk
Ulyanovsk is famously the birthplace of Vladimir Lenin, the founder of the Empire of Communists. Visit the Lenin memorial complex and the house in which he resided on an intriguing guided tour. Afterwards, visit Simbirsk classical gymnasium museum. (B,L,D)
Day 11 - Samara
Upon arrival in Samara, enjoy a guided tour of the city that sits at the confluence of the Volga and Samara Rivers. (B,L,D)
Day 12 - Saratov
Visit to the fascinating Road to Space exposition dedicated to Yuri Gagarin’s early years of studies here on a guided tour of Saratov's historical highlights. (B,L,D)
Day 13 - Stalingrad (Volgograd)
Arrive in Volgograd formerly known as Stalingrad, the last destination of your Russia cruise. Infamous for the WWII Battle of Stalingrad, the city’s history is commemorated by the world’s tallest statue of a woman, The Motherland Calls. Explore this historic city on an orientation walk with your dedicated Cruise Director before enjoying some leisurely free time. (B,L,D)
Day 14 - Stalingrad
Visit the spectacular Mamayev Hill WWII memorial, with ten monuments dedicated to the Battle of Stalingrad and experience the change of the guards and the Eternal Flame in the Hall of Warrior Glory on a guided city tour. (B,L,D).
Day 15 - Stalingrad - UK
Disembark your ship after breakfast and transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK.
