Yuletide Markets on the Rhine Itinerary
Day 1 - UK - Cologne (Germany)
Take the Eurostar from London St Pancras to Brussels or fly from the UK to Dusseldorf or Cologne and transfer to your ship, moored in Cologne. The dedicated crew will welcome you aboard your five-star floating hotel.
Day 2 - Rudesheim
Cruise through the winter wonderland of the Rhine Gorge this morning before arriving in the quaint town of Rudesheim. The medieval streets and half-timbered houses form the perfect backdrop for its magical Christmas market twinkling with hundreds of fairy lights. Why not try a traditional Rudesheim coffee with its shot of local Asbach brandy and whipped cream.
Day 3 - Koblenz - Bonn
Sail back through the spectacular Rhine Gorge and arrive in historic Koblenz for a guided tour of this romantic city’s half-timbered buildings, ancient squares and beautifully restored historic houses. Koblenz’s Christmas market is set in the atmospheric old town and the famous Christmas bakery makes stollen and other traditional German Christmas cakes and biscuits. Enjoy the Captain's Dinner whilst sailing to historic Bonn this evening.
Day 4 - Bonn - Cologne
Enjoy a guided tour of this fascinating city's highlights including its huge Romanesque minster and the colourful Rococo old town hall. There will be free time to explore the Christmas market and the chance to try a glass of warming Gluhwein. This afternoon there will be free time to explore Cologne's seven traditional markets, each with their own unique theme and beautifully decorated festive stalls.
Day 5 - Cologne - UK
Disembark ship and transfer to the airport or Brussels train station for the return journey home.
