Strasbourg to Frankfurt Itinerary

Day 1 - UK - Strasbourg (France)

Fly from the UK and embark ship in Strasbourg.

Day 2 - Strasbourg

Explore quaint Strasbourg's cobbled lanes and half-timbered houses on a panoramic tour and old town walk, or explore the Petite France district with tastings of local delicacies. This evening on board there is the Captain's Welcome Reception and Dinner.

Day 3 - Speyer (Germany)

Your guided tour through Speyer reveals a medieval town with a grand heritage and a compact historic centre. During the tour you will view the largest Romanesque cathedral in Europe. Alternatively enjoy a private visit to Doktorenhof vinegar estate to try the unique aperitifs made from wine vinegars.

Day 4 - Cochem

Discover the fairytale town of Cochem with its half-timbered pastel-coloured buildings. See Cochem Castle illuminated in all its evening glory on a nighttime visit (please note - it it is not possible to visit the castle this evening there will be a visit the following morning).

Day 5 - Cochem

See Cochem's medieval gates, city wall and historical Marktplatz on a delightful walking tour, or explore the hidden bunker where Germany's Central Bank stored currency worth billions during the Cold War. Alternatively, opt for an active excursion along the Moselle with mountain golfing, cycling along the river or hiking through a vineyard.

Day 6 - Trier

Explore Trier, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, on a walking tour to discover many Roman monuments including the Imperial Baths, The Basilica of Constantine and the Porta Nigra.

Day 7 - Trier

Today there is an excursion to Luxembourg for a panoramic city tour followed by a trip to the WWII Luxembourg American Cemetery and Memorial.

Day 8 - Bernkastel

Explore Bernkastel's picture-postcard streets on a village walk followed by a vineyard walk with Reisling tasting, or cycle along the scenic banks of the Middle Moselle. Tonight on board there is a special Captain's Farewell Reception and Dinner.

Day 9 - Boppard - Rudesheim

The picture-postcard village of Boppard is a delight to explore. Stroll through the village, or the more active can ride the chairlift to Rhine Bend for amazing views and a vineyard hike or a bike ride along the Rhine. In the wine-making town of Rudesheim there is a trip to Rheinstein Castle, a cable car ride to the Niederwald Monument followed by a hike down through vineyards, or a walking tour of the town with tastings of local delicacies.

Day 10 - Frankfurt - UK

Disembark ship in Frankfurt and transfer to the airport for the return flight to the UK.
