Day 1 - UK - Frankfurt (Germany) - Mainz
Fly from a choice of UK regional airports to Frankfurt and transfer to your ship docked in Mainz. Meet your fellow cruisers and enjoy a delicious dinner on board and a talk by your Cruise Director. (D)
Day 2 - Rudesheim
Step back in time with a visit to the picturesque town of Rudesheim. Tour Siegfried's Mechanical Musical Instrument Museum. (B,L,D)
Day 3 - Koblenz
Arrive in the 2000-year old town of Koblenz, situated at the confluence of the Rhine and Moselle rivers. Enjoy a guided walk of the town and explore the impressive Ehrenbreitstein Fortress used as a headquarters for the American military during WWII. Alternatively, join the guided bike tour. Later, the ship cruises the dramatic Rhine Gorge past the Lorelei Rock and Pfalzgrafenstein Castle. An optional excursion to Cochem Castle is available. (B,L,D)
Day 4 - Mannheim
Cruise to the town of Mannheim, situated at the confluence of the Rhine and Neckar rivers. From here, travel to the medieval town of Heidelberg by coach for a guided tour including a visit to the impressive castle. There is also the opportunity to join wine tasting. There is a hike from Mount Konigstuhl to Heidelberg. (B,L,D)
Day 5 - Rastatt - Baden-Baden
From Rastatt travel by coach to the spa town of Baden-Baden, nestled in the beautiful Black Forest. Discover exquisite views and elegant architecture on a guided walking tour of the town, or join the guided hike to Altes Schloss Castle which enjoys superb views over Baden-Baden, the Black Forest and the Rhine Valley. Day 6 - Kehl - Strasbourg (France)
From Kehl transfer by coach across the river to Strasbourg for a canal boat tour of the Petite France district, the tanners' quarter, the Covered Bridge and the Vauban Dam. The afternoon is spent at leisure exploring the medieval city centre. On the forward itinerary there is an optional tour to Riquewihr. (B,L,D)
Day 7 - Breisach (Germany) - Colmar (France)
From Breisach, visit picturesque Colmar for a guided tour taking in the half-timbered medieval buildings and Little Venice quarter. The more active can choose instead to join the guided bike ride through the beautiful Alsace countryside to Colmar. (B,L,D)
Day 8 - Basel (Switzerland) - UK
After breakfast, disembark your ship and transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK. (B)
