Reflections of the Rhine and Main Itinerary
Day 1 - UK - Amsterdam (Holland)
Fly from the UK to Amsterdam and transfer from the airport to the ship. Dock overnight allowing ample time to explore the iconic sights at leisure. Tonight, enjoy a special Captain’s Welcome Reception. (D)
Day 2 - Amsterdam - Utrecht
Amsterdam’s network of 17th-century canals gives the city its nickname ‘The Venice of the North’. Board a glass-top boat and glide past the city’s impressive waterside facades, then travel by coach via Rembrandt’s Windmill, immortalised in the artist’s paintings, to Utrecht. Tonight, enjoy a Gala Welcome Dinner. (B,L,D)
Day 3 - Cologne (Germany) - Bruhl
Travel south from Cologne to the beautiful town of Bruhl. Your exclusive Insider Experience is a visit to the 18th-century castle of Augustusburg, a superb example of German rococo architecture. (B,L,D)
Day 4 - Rhine Gorge - Rüdesheim
Cruise through the Rhine Gorge, considered by many to be the most beautiful section of the Rhine River. Watch in awe as steep slopes covered in vineyards and dotted with ancient castles drift past, before the ship docks in the pretty wine town of Rüdesheim. Here, the Winzerexpress mini-train travels through the town to Siegfried’s Mechanical Musical Instrument Museum, which houses a magnificent collection of automated musical instruments. (B,L,D)
Day 5 - Miltenberg
For your exclusive Insider Experience, enjoy coffee and cake with the locals in Miltenberg as they invite you into their homes. Later, take the opportunity to explore this beautiful town at the confluence of the Main and Tauber rivers. (B,L,D)
Day 6 - Wurzburg
Visit the spectacular baroque Wurzburg Residence with its grand staircase and chapel. Enjoy a walk through the beautifully landscaped Wurzburg Court garden. Later, take the opportunity to explore the picturesque town of Rothenburg (extra cost). (B,L,D)
Day 7 - Bamberg
Enjoy a guided tour of World Heritage-listed Bamberg. Discover a range of historic churches and buildings, including the half-timbered cottages and postcard-perfect town hall on the River Regnitz. Later, the ship will reach the Main-Danube Canal. The canal links the North and Black seas and is recognised as a feat of modern engineering. (B,L,D)
Day 8 - Nuremberg - UK
After breakfast disembark the ship for the transfer to Munich airport for the onward flight to the UK. (B)
