Enjoy an overnight stay in Bucharest in a 5* hotel then explore the city the following day on a guided tour. Drive through the scenic countryside of Romania and embark your ship in Fetesti. Discover the amazing wildlife of the Danube Delta on a boat tour then arrive in Sulina where the Danube meets the Black Sea. Celebrate arriving at 'Km 0' with Champagne on the Sun Deck then spend a day relaxing on board, enjoying the passing scenery. From Rousse, head to picturesque Veliko Turnovo overlooked by the magnificent Tsarevets Fortress.

See the imposing Baba Vida fortress then tour Vidin's opera house and enjoy a private symphony concert. Cruise through the Iron Gates, a breathtaking natural wonder with fjord-like scenery to admire. Voyage from The East Itinerary

Day 1 - UK - Bucharest (Romania)

Meet your representative at London Heathrow for pre-flight refreshments then fly to Bucharest. Transfer to your 5* hotel and enjoy dinner before spending the evening relaxing.

Day 2 - Fetesti

Enjoy a panoramic tour of Bucharest with its tree-lined boulevards and magnificent Belle Epoque buildings. See the Arch of Triumph and Palace of Parliament. Enjoy lunch whilst being entertained by local musicians, ahead of a scenic drive through the countryside to Festesti to embark Royal Crown.

Day 3 - Tulcea - Sulina

Tulcea is the gateway to the Danube Delta and its amazing wildlife. Join a boat tour to see species including cormorants, white tailed eagles, glossy ibises and Egyptian white pelicans. Sulina is where the River Danube meets the Black Sea. The Danube is 2,845km long and kilometre markings can be seen along the length of the river. Enjoy Champagne on the Sun Deck to celebrate arriving at ‘Km 0’.

Day 4 - Cruising the Danube

Enjoy the ship's facilities on a relaxing day cruising the River Danube.

Day 5 - Rousse (Bulgaria)

From Rousse, head to Veliko Turnovo set amidst forested hills. Pride of place is the magnificent Tsarevets Fortress which is complemented by other ruins. The village of Arbanassi became a trade hub during the 17th and 18th centuries. Today, it is an open-air museum.

Day 6 - Vidin

The Baba Vida fortress towers over the River Danube in the Bulgarian frontier town of Vidin and is the only entirely preserved medieval castle in the country. Join a guided tour which concludes with a visit to the opera house for a private symphony concert.

Day 7 - Cruising the Iron Gates

Today, enjoy a full day of cruising through one of Europe's most awe-inspiring natural wonders, the Iron Gates, where the Danube winds through spectacular fjord-like scenery.

Day 8 - Veliko Gradiste

At Viminacium, you'll discover one of the most important Roman towns. During the rule of Hadrian, the civilian settlement became a municipium. As you explore the archaeological site, admire the remains of temples, palaces and Roman baths.

Day 9 - Belgrade

Uncover Belgrade’s turbulent past on a city tour taking in the Royal Palace, built between 1924 and 1929. This evening, visit Skadarlija, the old Bohemian Quarter of Belgrade, for a performance of local folk music and dancing. Later, return to Royal Crown.

Day 10 - Novi Sad

The picturesque town of Sremski Karlovci is rich in history. It was originally home to an ancient Roman fortress, and during the 18th century became a spiritual centre. The town is also renowned for its local wines, and you can enjoy a visit to a local winery.

Day 11 - Mohacs

Cruise across the border into Hungary and travel to Pecs to learn about its history. The guided tour includes the UNESCO-listed Necropolis of Sopianae, dating back to the fourth century. Villany is the centre of Hungary's most southern wine region. A tour of the vineyard allows you to appreciate the red wines.

Day 12 - Kalocsa

Royal Crown arrives in Kalocsa. Join an exciting excursion into the Puszta, the hinterland of Hungary, which is renowned for its paprika production. Enjoy an impressive display that showcases the exceptional riding skills of the Puszta horsemen. Spend the afternoon relaxing on board as you cruise to Budapest.

Day 13 - Budapest

Today, discover Buda and Pest, two cities which were physically joined when the Chain Bridge was built across the Danube in 1849. See St Matthias Church and visit the Fisherman's Bastion. The day concludes with a private reception and concert at the Royal Palace of Godollo, the second largest Baroque castle in the world.

Day 14 - Budapest - UK

Disembark Royal Crown and transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK.
