Vienna and Bohemia Itinerary
Day 1 - UK - Vienna (Austria)
Fly from the UK to Vienna where a coach will take you to the ship. The dedicated crew will welcome you aboard ensuring you settle in to your first class floating hotel.
Day 2 - Vienna - Krems
Explore the magnificent capital city of Vienna with its baroque palaces, grand boulevards and impressive galleries. Highlights of Vienna include St Stephen's Cathedral, Hofburg Palace and the Spanish Riding School. Get an insight into this cultural city on a sightseeing tour before time to explore at leisure. Spend this afternoon cruising then enjoy a traditional music recital on board this evening.
Day 3 - Krems
Drive to Gottweig Abbey which has a striking hilltop position and enjoy a guided tour of the impressive staterooms and precious artworks. Lunch is on board whilst sailing through the stunning Wachau Valley, past the walled town of Durnstein and Melk Monastery.
Day 4 - Passau (Germany) - Aldersbach
Arrive in Passau this morning with its quaint colourful houses, winding streets and ornate cathedral. This afternoon is spent in Aldersbach where a guided tour takes in one of the most important baroque churches in southern Germany, and visit the abbey's historic brewery and museum.
Day 5 - Regensburg
Continue along the Danube to Regensburg, a well-preserved city dominated by its cathedral, for a guided tour. Take a stroll along the winding streets and narrow alleyways through the historic centre, admiring the Gothic cathedral and old town hall. Sail along the river this afternoon and enjoy views of the iconic Danube Loop.
Day 6 - Linz (Austria) or Cesky Krumlov (Czech Republic)
Join the guided tour of Linz's old town to see the elegant merchants' houses, castle and regional parliament building. Alternatively join the excursion to the medieval town of Cesky Krumlov, set in a landscape of rolling hills, cascading mountain streams and shimmering lakes.
Day 7 - Vienna (Austria)
Today there is free time to explore Vienna; perhaps explore the Kunsthistorisches Museum, the Imperial Treasury or the Prater with its huge Ferris wheel. Alternatively join the visit to Schonbrunn Palace to gain a fascinating insight into the lives of the Habsburgs. Tonight there is a magnificent Captain's Dinner on board.
Day 8 - Vienna - UK
Disembark ship in Vienna and transfer to the airport for the return flight to the UK.
