OPB - Oberammergau and the Passion Play: Oberammergau - Budapest Itinerary
Day 1 - Munich (Germany) - Oberammergau
Transfer from Munich airport for Oberammergau for a 2-night hotel stay.
Day 2 - Oberammergau
Transfer by coach to the village for free time to explore and lunch on your own. Later, transfer to the open-air theatre for the performance of the Passion Play, considered one of the grandest in the world, involving over 2,000 performers. A meal is included with the show. Transfer back to the hotel by coach.
Day 3 - Oberammergau - Passau
Travel by coach to Passau where there will be time to explore at leisure. Board ship at 6pm and settle into your cabin, before enjoying a welcome cocktail with the crew. Dinner on board then cruise through the night.
Day 4 - Passau - Vienna (Austria)
Today there is an optional excursion to Melk Abbey, once a Baroque-style palace and now a Benedictine monastery. Cruise to Durnstein where there is time at leisure before returning on board and cruising towards Vienna. This evening there is an optional excursion to see Vienna by night.
Day 5 - Vienna
Join an optional excursion to Schonbrunn Palace, a 1441-room Baroque palace that was once a summer residence for the Hapsburg monarchs. Explore the city at leisure this afternoon or enjoy an optional horse and carriage ride through Vienna. Festive gala evening. cruise through the night towards Esztergom.
Day 6 - Esztergom (Hungary) - Budapest
Explore the architectural delights of Esztergom on your own then spend the afternoon cruising towards Budapest. This evening there is an optional Budapest by night excursion.
Day 7 - Budapest
Choose between an optional guided tour of Budapest to see the Turkish baths and Buda Castle, or discover the city by bike. Spend the afternoon exploring the city at leisure or enjoy an optional visit to the famous Gellert Baths. This evening there is an optional evening of traditional Hungarian entertainment in one of the city's theatres.
Day 8 - Budapest
Disembark ship in Budapest after breakfast.

Arrive in Bratislava early this morning and choose between an optional guided tour of Bratislava, and a hike in the Little Carpathians Protected Landscape Area. This evening enjoy free time in Vienna or join the optional night tour of Vienna.
Day 4 - Vienna
Join an optional excursion to Schonbrunn Palace, a 1441-room Baroque palace that was once a summer residence for the Hapsburg monarchs. There is an optional trip to Hofburg Palace this afternoon to see the Imperial Apartments. This evening there is an optional concert of Viennese music.
Day 5 - Melk - Passau (Germany)
Cruise through the beautiful Wachau Valley to Melk. There is an optional visit to Durnstein, the fortified village where Richard the Lionheart was once held prisoner. In the afternoon there is an optional excursion to Melk Abbey, a Benedictine monastery. Gala dinner and evening tonight.
Day 6 - Passau - Oberammergau
Disembark ship after breakfast and enjoy time at leisure exploring Passau. At 2pm depart by coach for Oberammergau, famous for its Passion Play, for a 2-night hotel stay.
Day 7 - Oberammergau
