Get a real taste of Bordeaux on this spectacular river cruise, joined by Gregg Wallace and Steve Groves. Gregg Wallace is best known for co-hosting MasterChef, Celebrity MasterChef and MasterChef: The Professionals on BBC1 and BBC2. Born in Peckham, Gregg began his career in the Covent Garden fruit and vegetable market. Based on his business success, he was invited to co-present Veg Talk on BBC Radio 4, then was the original presenter of Saturday Kitchen in 2002. His autobiography, Life On A Plate, was published in 2012 by Orion Books. Steve Groves is the head chef at the prestigious Roux in Parliament Square and won MasterChef: The Professionals in 2009.

From Bordeaux, journey to Saint Emilion, a fascinating UNESCO World Heritage Site and the jewel in Bordeaux's crown. Explore the fascinating underground catacombs of the Monolithic Church before savouring regional wine at Château de la Rivière. Discover the beautiful 13th-century town of Libourne and visit the exquisite estate of Château Franc Mayne or take the opportunity to enjoy a foie gras tasting at a charming local farm in Bergerac. Culinary Delights of Bordeaux with Greg Wallace

Day 1 - UK - Bordeaux (France)

Fly from a choice of regional airports to Bordeaux or take the Eurostar from St Pancras to Paris Gard du Nord and take the train to Bordeaux. On arrival, you'll be met by a representative and transferred to the Scenic Diamond. Tonight enjoy a welcome reception. (D)

Day 2 - Bordeaux - Saint Emilion

This morning, cruise to Libourne. Perhaps join a culinary masterclass on board in Scenic Culinaire as you cruise. Later, disembark and spend the afternoon in World-Heritage listed Saint Emilion with a tour including the underground catacombs of the iconic Monolithic Church. This evening, celebrate the 2000-year history of wine by enjoying a glass at the estate of Château de la Rivière. (B,L,D)

Day 3 - Libourne

Enjoy a guided tour of Libourne taking in the 16th century town-houses and Gothic church. Alternatively, visit the exclusive estate Chateau Franc Mayne and sample the Grand Cru Classe wine or perhaps visit the city of Bergerac to enjoy a foie gras tasting at a charming local farm. Day 4 - Blaye

Spend the morning discovering the remarkbale Blaye region and enjoy a stroll through the Citadel of Blaye or perhaps take an active walk through the charming town. Alternatively, join a 30 kilometre roundtrip cycle along the Captain’s Road before cruising to Pauillac. This evening, attend an unforgettable classical concert at the enchanting 13th century Château Agassac which is located in the Medoc countryside and one of the oldest winemaking establishments in the region. Day 5 - Médoc

Immerse yourself in the scenic Médoc wine region and discover why it is regarded as the world’s leading red wine producer during a visit to the Château Gruaud-Larose estate where you can sample the region's finest wines. Or perhaps enjoy a cycling tour through the region, stopping along the way for a wine tasting. This afternoon, visit the fascinating Carriages Museum in the enchanting Bourg Castle before returning to the ship for an exclusive talk from special guest Steve Groves as he talks about winning Masterchef: The Professionals. Day 6 - Cadillac

Spend the morning venturing into the Sauternes region for a tasting of the prestigious Château Guiraud dessert wines, cycle through the rolling vineyards of Sauternes or enjoy a walking tour of Cadillac including a visit to the beautiful 15th century Château de Cadillac. Day 7 - Bordeaux

This morning, take part in a plating challenge with your creations being judged by Gregg Wallace before enjoying an exclusive cooking demonstration with Steve Groves. Join a guided tour of Bordeaux or for the more energetic, cycle the historic regions of Bordeaux, passing the Royal Gate, the Palais Rohan and through pretty public gardens. Day 8 - Bordeaux

After breakfast, disembark and transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK or take the train to Paris and the Eurostar to St Pancras International. (B)
