This superb holiday begins with an overnight stay in Copenhagen. See the contrast of medieval architecture and modern art in Oslo then cruise through narrow fjords, surrounded by dramatic mountains, to Kristiansand and Stavanger, home to traditional 19th-century wooden houses. Travel on the famous Flam railway, one of the world's most spectacular railway journeys, and explore the Hanseatic port of Bergen with its colourful Bryggen Wharf.

Picturesque Ulvik, nestled at the head of the beautiful Ulvikfjord, is situated in the heart of one of Norway's largest fruit growing districts. Aegean Odyssey then cruises to Rosyth where you can explore Edinburgh or Stirling Castle.

Norwegian Fjords Itinerary

Day 1 - UK - Copenhagen (Denmark)

Fly from the UK to Copenhagen and embark Aegean Odyssey.

Day 2 - Copenhagen

Copenhagen is the largest city in Scandinavia and home to the world's oldest monarchy. Perhaps see the elegant Amalienborg Palace, stroll along the cobblestone streets in historic Nyhavn or visit the beautiful Tivoli Gardens.

Day 3 - Aarhus

Aarhus was established in Viking times and today it is regarded by many as Denmark's cultural capital. Perhaps explore Jutland's castles and gardens or take a trip to the stunning lakes of Denmark.

Day 4 - Oslo (Norway)

Oslo is Scandinavia's oldest capital city and boasts a sophisticated atmosphere, with world-class museums and galleries. The city is surrounded by forests, hills and lakes giving ample opportunities for hiking, cycling, skiing and boating. See the city's highlights including the Royal Palace, the Nobel Institute, Vigeland Sculpture Park and the contemporary Opera House, or join the tour to the Sculpture Park, the world-famous Holmenkollbakken ski jump and the Viking Ship Museum.

Day 5 - Kristiansand

Kristiansand is built across four islands connected by bridges, with various interesting sculptures scattered around the town. It is also the gateway to the Atlantic Road, one of the world's most scenic roads, offering amazing views. The guided tour passes the town's white wooden houses to the open-air Vest-Agder Country Museum and the 400-year-old Sogne Old Church.

Day 6 - Stavanger

Stavanger is a modern city yet its picturesque old town has pretty 18th-century wooden houses and an impressive Anglo-Norman style cathedral. Join the walking tour for a visit to the Canning Museum and the 12th-century cathedral.

Day 7 - Flam

The village of Flam is surrounded by soaring mountains and nestles at the head of Aurlandsfjord. Join the excursion to ride on the world famous railway, a masterpiece of engineering which travels through breathtaking mountain scenery, or travel to the beautiful Tvinde waterfall then enjoy high tea at the Stalheim Hotel overlooking the Naeroyvalley.

Day 8 - Bergen

Bergen is beautifully located against a backdrop of seven mountains. The traditional wooden buildings of the colourful Bryggen wharf house souvenir shops. Learn more about the city's history on a tour of its colourful Bryggen district and a funicular ride to the summit of Mount Floien for panoramic views of Bergen and the surrounding fjords.

Day 9 - Hellesylt - Geiranger

Around Geiranger towering peaks, spectacular waterfalls and stunning gorges stretch as far as the eye can see, with their reflections mirrored in the waters of Geirangerfjord.

Day 10 - Olden

The village of Olden is situated at the end of the innermost arm of the mighty Nordfjord. Steep mountains soar on both sides of the valley, making Olden one of Norway's most picturesque villages.

Day 11 - Ulvik - Eidfjord

Ulvik is nestled at the head of the beautiful Ulvikfjord, in the heart of one of Norway's largest fruit growing districts. Take a trip to the Hardangervidda Museum at the foot of the Voringsfossen waterfall and travel through the mountains for stunning views over Norway's largest National Park.

Day 12 - At sea

Enjoy the ship's facilities on a relaxing day at sea.

Day 13 - Rosyth (Scotland)

Admire Scotland's capital with a walking tour of the Royal Mile, Edinburgh's oldest and most historic street, from the 12th-century Edinburgh Castle to the magnificent Palace of Holyroodhouse. Alternatively take the trip to Stirling Castle which offers stunning views from its rocky perch on top of an extinct volcano.

Day 14 - At sea

Enjoy the ship's facilities on a relaxing day at sea.

Day 15 - London Tilbury (UK)

Disembark Aegean Odyssey in London Tilbury.
