New England and Canada in the Fall Itinerary

Day 1 - UK - New York (USA)

Fly from the UK and embark Silver Whisper in New York City.

Day 2 - Newport (Rhode Island)

Newport became a haven for those who believed in religious freedom and was once a successful Colonial port. Historical landmarks include the Wanton-Lyman-Hazard House, White Horse Tavern and Redwood Library. Transit the legendary Cape Cod Canal this evening.

Day 3 - Boston (Massachusetts)

Boston is bursting with history and culture, from modern skyscrapers to old cobblestone streets. The city is famous for the revolutionary Boston 'Tea Party' and the historic freedom trails to the Old North Church and Beacon Hill.

Day 4 - Bar Harbor (Maine)

Bar Harbor has been a resort town since the 19th century, and is the gateway to the stunning Acadia National Park. Browse the shops along Main, Mount Desert and Cottage streets or stroll down West Street, a National Historic District, where you can see some fine old houses.

Day 5 - Halifax (Nova Scotia)

Nova Scotia's capital, Halifax, is home to many major sites along the harbour and on the Citadel-crowned hill. The Titanic sank not far from Halifax, and the city's Maritime Museum of the Atlantic has many fascinating Titanic exhibits.

Day 6 - Sydney

Enjoy Sydney's restored waterfront and explore the Loyalist-era buildings. Perhaps learn more about Alexander Graham Bell's life and legacy on a visit to Baddeck Village and a tour of the Alexander Graham Bell Museum, or discover the Cabot Trail, one of the most scenic drives in North America.

Day 7 - Charlottetown (Prince Edward Island)

Charlottetown has a welcoming small-town atmosphere. With its gingerbread-clad homes, converted warehouses and striking churches, the heart of the remains relatively unchanged from the 19th century. Optional excursions include a trip to the places mentioned in the book Anne of Green Gables, a historic horse-drawn carriage ride through downtown Charlottetown and a visit to some of Prince Edward Island's beautiful lighthouses.

Day 8 - At sea

Enjoy the ship's facilities on a relaxing day at sea.

Day 9 - Saguenay River - Saguenay

Silver Whisper cruises the Saguenay River to the beautiful city of Saguenay. Admire the picturesque valleys, towering forests, soaring mountains and shimmering lakes and look out for blue whales swimming through the waters of the mighty rivers. The more active may wish to join a sea kayaking adventure or a hike through the stunning Saguenay National Park.

Days 10-11 - Quebec City (Canada)

French-speaking Quebec City is located at the top of Cape Diamond. Perhaps sample some of the delicious cuisine, explore the Old City (Vieux-Quebec) or join an optional excursion to the breathtaking Montmorency Falls.
