Day 1Halifax (Nova Scotia, Canada)
Embark your Hurtigruten expedition ship in Halifax.
Day 2Yarmouth
Explore the historic town of Yarmouth which features pretty Victorian homes, churches and museums. Perhaps meet the friendly locals or go for a walk along one of the trails around Cape Forchu.
Day 3Eastport (Maine, USA)
Sail into the cosy city of Eastport on Moose Island which has been home to the native Passamaquoddy Tribe for at least 10,000 years. Enjoy the historic waterfront on foot, join the expedition team for a hike or opt for a day on the water.
Day 4Bar Harbor
Bar Harbor has been a resort town since the 19th century, and is the gateway to the stunning Acadia National Park. Browse the shops along Main, Mount Desert and Cottage streets or stroll down West Street, a National Historic District, where you can see some fine old houses.
Day 5Rockland
Arrive in the beautiful coastal town of Rockland which is known for its lobster-fishing industry. Admire the historic architecture of downtown Rockland or perhaps visit the Farnsworth Art Museum.
Day 6Provincetown (Massachusett, USA)
Colourful Provincetown is set on the northern tip of Cape Cod where the Mayflower landed in 1620 and where the pilgrims spent five weeks before sailing on to Plymouth. Perhaps visit the Pilgrim Monument and Provincetown Museum.
Day 7Newport (Rhode Island, USA)
This elegant seaside resort was once the summer playground of America's richest and most famous families. Discover Newport’s downtown and stroll iconic Ocean Drive, discover Colonial architecture or explore the tunnels at Fort Adams – America’s largest coastal fortification.
