Embark Harmony G or Harmony V in the fascinating city of Malaga for this unique voyage uncovering the history, culture and architecture of Spain and Portugal.

Sail to Granada, renowned for its majestic Alhambra Palace, uncover Ronda's splendid architecture and visit Gibraltar, the famous British outpost home to the Barbary Apes. Harmony G then arrives in Cadiz, your gateway to the enchanting city of Seville, where there is the opportunity to uncover the Moorish and Spanish heritage and several UNESCO classified monuments.

Take the optional excursion to Jerez de la Frontera, famous for its sherry and bull fighting, before cruising to picturesque Portimao, gateway to the traditional town of Silves and beautiful city of Monchique which retains a 16th-century charm.

Glories of Spain and Portugal Itinerary

Day 1 - UK - Malaga (Spain)

Fly from the UK to Malaga and embark Harmony G.

Day 2 - Malaga

From Malaga there is an optional full day excursion to Granada to visit the spectacular Alhambra Palace complex. There is also time to visit the Cathedral with its Royal Chapel and the Monastery of La Cartuja. Overnight in port.

Day 3 - Porto Banus - Gibraltar (UK)

Arrive in Porto Banus for an optional excursion to Ronda, a historic city which retains much of its charm. Enjoy a visit to the elegant 16th-century convent and the beautiful Plaza Duquesa de Parcent, home to two ornate churches and the toy town bell tower of Iglesia Santa Maria de Mayor. You'll also visit Marbella. Overnight in port.

Day 4 - Gibraltar - Bolonia or Arroyo Beach (Spain)

Today's optional excursion to the Rock includes a cable car ride to the summit of Gibraltar, where the guide will point out the geography of this British colony. Next, travel down to the Middle Station, home to Gibraltar’s oldest inhabitants, the Barbary Apes. Then enjoy a drive to Princess Caroline's Battery and the entrance to the Great Siege Tunnels, before finally visiting the Gibraltar Museum. Overnight at sea to Cadiz.

Days 5-6 - Cadiz

Arrive in Cadiz and head inland to Seville, arguably one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. Take the opportunity to see the Cathedral, Alcazar Palace and Maria Luisa Park, before returning to Cadiz for dinner. Overnight in port. The following day, there is an optional half-day tour to Jerez, renowned for its wines and horse breeding. The tour includes a visit to a ganaderia where bulls are bred. After lunch on board, perhaps join the optional tour of Cadiz followed by a trip to Sanlucar de Barrameda and a wine cellar. Overnight at sea to Portimao.

Day 6 - Portimao

From Portimao, you can explore Silves on an optional excursion and discover the ancient Moorish castle complex, 13th-century cathedral, 15th-century bridge and Museu Arqueológico. From Silves travel to the picturesque city of Monchique's with its cobbled streets, artisan shops and 17th-century Franciscan monastery. Return to Portimao for lunch and spend the afternoon at leisure. Overnight in port.

Day 8 - Portimao - Lisbon - UK

Disembark Harmony G in Portimao and transfer to Lisbon for your return flight to the UK.

For navigational reasons the Captain of the ship reserves the right to modify the cruise itinerary.
