New Itinerary

Day 1 - Phuket (Thailand)

Arrive in Phuket and take a complimentary transfer from the airport to the port to board the Panorama II. Enjoy an on board dinner with your fellow travellers before setting sail for Koh Miang at around 9 pm. (D)

Day 2 - Koh Miang

Arrive at the beautiful Similan Island of Koh Miang which boasts the perfect combination of tropical rainforest, white sands and clear blue water. Spend the morning relaxing on the beach or enjoy kayaking and stand-up paddle boarding. Set sail mid-afternoon for the main Similan Islands where the boat will remain at anchor overnight. (B,L,D)

Day 3 - Similan Islands

Today you can spend the full day discovering the beauty of the Similan Islands which constitute a national park and have been made a UNESCO World Heritage site. Hike through the fascinating rainforest, climb the huge boulders that are scattered along the beaches or snorkel through the coral reef to spot tropical fish. (B,L,D)

Day 4 - Ko Surin Tai

Upon arrival in Ko Surin Tai, you will be able to explore the Moken Village with a local tour guide. Learn about the intriguing Moken people; a Sea Gypsy ethnic group of Austronesian origin who still mostly live a semi-nomadic hunter-gatherer life (despite Thai and Burmese attempts to assimilate them into the wider culture) and soak up the Thai culture before spending the afternoon relaxing on the beach. (B,L,D)

Day 5 - Ko Surin Tai

Spend a second day experiencing the glorious, offtrack destination of Surin Tai. Explore the incredible ecosystem and look out for a nesting turtle or venture further into the town. This afternoon, enjoy a beach BBQ. (B,L,D)

Day 6 - Khao Lak

This morning you will sail to the small village of Khao Lak which is situated on Phang Nga's coastline among a collection of picturesque beaches. If the conditions are right, you might enjoy some old fashioned sailing, with the sails up and the engine off for a little while. This afternoon, you're free to explore the quaint town of Khao Lak before dining in one of the fresh seafood restaurants this evening. Perhaps finish the evening by checking out the local nightlife. (B,L)

Day 7 - Khao Lak

Travel by coach to Baan Talay Nok village which was destroyed in the 2004 tsunami. Enjoy a guided walking tour around this village and hear the shocking stories of survival and recovery. Join some local families for a delicious lunch before taking part in a soap-making class and cooking up some local Thai dishes. This evening, enjoy a farewell dinner onboard the Panorama II. (B,L,D)
