Day 1 - UK - Barcelona (Spain)

Fly from the UK and embark your ship in Barcelona.

Day 2 - Marseille (France)

Located in southeastern France, today’s Marseille is a far cry from the sleepy villages it once inspired in Cézanne’s paintings. With more than a million people, the city remains the cosmopolitan and exuberant capital of southern Europe, with its picturesque Old Quarter, lively sidewalk cafes and shops, and Romanesque-Byzantine Notre Dame de la Garde Basilica, overlooking the steep cliffs and offering a bird’s eye view of the city’s colorful “quartiers” stretching down toward the sea. Excursions include a visit to the classical Provencal village of Saint-Remy-de-Provence, a wine and cheese tasting in Aix-en-Provence, and a highlights tour of Marseille.

Day 3 - Monte Carlo (Monaco)

Tiny, but packed with fun, Monte Carlo offers a wonderful combination of history, beauty, entertainment and leisure. The wealthiest spot in Monaco, Monte Carlo is an enchanting place, known as the international capital of luxury and for its celebrity-sightings, casinos and nightlife. Shop along Cannes’ exclusive Rue d’Antibes and view grand hotels on Boulevard de la Croisette, explore the walled hamlet of Saint-Paul-de-Vence, or join the hop on hop off bus tour with casino visit.

Day 4 - Livorno (Italy)

Livorno, located in the center of Tuscany, is the gateway to the glory of Renaissance Florence and Pisa. From the 13th to 16th centuries, this era of creative freedom encouraged the genius of Dante, Donatello, Michelangelo, Giotto, Botticelli, da Vinci, and Machiavelli to create some of the world’s most noted masterpieces. Elegant Florence offers the Galleria dell'Accademia, with its iconic masterpiece, Michelangelo’s David. The Uffizi is home to the most renowned art gallery in Italy, with representative works by the titan’s of Renaissance art. Join us for an excursion to Pisa, and tour the city's beautiful and historic Campo dei Miracoli. Nearby Siena captures the spirit of Medieval Italy and Lucca offers the memorable chance to bicycle through the fragrant Tuscan countryside.

Day 5 - Civitavecchia

Civitavecchia is the gateway to ancient Rome. Whether enjoying the street performers at the Spanish Steps and people-watching over a fine glass of wine in colorful Trastevere, or taking in the historical and architectural glory that is Rome, visitors are spoiled for choice in this truly Eternal City. Join the panoramic coach tour of Rome, or head to Lake Bracciano or medieval Tarquinia.

Day 6 - Positano

Discover chic Positano with its relaxed, sophisticated air and white Moorish-style houses clinging to steep slopes around a sparkling bay filled with colorful fishing boats. Then visit enchanting Amalfi and admire the 12th-century Capuchin monastery and see the beautiful 11th-century Cathedral. Alternatively, head to Ravello or the luminescent waters of the Emerald Grotto.

Day 7 - At sea

Day 8 - Kotor (Montenegro)

Kotor is a coastal town in Montenegro, located in a most secluded part of the Gulf of Kotor. The old port, surrounded by an impressive city wall built by the House of Nemanjicc, is very well preserved and is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Excursions include a drive through Montenegro’s breathtaking countryside, a cooking class in Klinci village and a classical performance in Prcanj.

Day 9 - Split (Croatia)

Split is the largest Croatian city on the Adriatic coast. Split achieved fame when the Roman emperor Diocletian, noted for his persecution of early Christians, had his retirement palace built here. The spectacular stone edifice and its grounds and cellars are a major highlight of any city tour. Other points of interest include the Cathedral of St. Duje, built on the remains of an ancient shrine purported to be the oldest in the world; and the Mestrovic Gallery, where the impressive works of Croatian sculptor Ivan Mestrovic are available for viewing in this home and atelier.

Day 10 - Venice (Italy)

This renowned “City of Canals” was built on an archipelago of more than 100 islands formed by about 150 canals. Ancient cobblestone streets lined with tiny ceramic and glass workshops and tempting cafes wind their way between fabulous palazzos and vast town squares along the banks of the canals. For shoppers, the city offers colorful markets; for those interested in architecture, the original Baroque classics, Basilica San Marco, the Rialto Bridge, the Doge’s Palace, and the Bridge of Sighs as viewed from a gondola or toured on foot, are breathtaking. Excursions take in the Grand Canal, Murano glassworks, Burano and Verona.

Day 11 - Venice - UK

Disembark your ship in Venice and transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK.
