Join your ship in Athens and cruise to pretty Mykonos, steeped in Greek mythology and named after Apollo's grandson, Mykons. Continue to idyllic Santorini, arguably the most photographed Greek island with its classic whitewashed houses clinging to the hillsides.

Once the seaport of Sparta, Gythion today welcomes visitors with a stunning coastline and beaches, while the beautiful island of Corfu was documented in Homer's famous Odyssey. Head to the Italian city of Bari, an important port city and home to the Basilica of Saint Nicholas, which holds the remains of its namesake beneath the altar. The next stop is Montenegro and the coastal town of Kotor, nestled in a secluded part of the Gulf of Kotor. The old port is surrounded by an impressive city wall.

The Croatian city of Dubrovnik is known as the 'Pearl of the Adriatic' and the Old City is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, while Split is famous for the UNESCO-listed Diocletian's Palace. An overnight stop in the enchanting city of Venice is a fitting finale to this superb cruise.

Vistas of the Mediterranean Itinerary

Day 1 - UK - Athens (Greece)

Fly from the UK to Athens and embark your ship.

Day 2 - Mykonos

Steeped in Greek mythology, Mykonos was named after Apollo's grandson, Mykons. It was also the location of the battle between Zeus and Gigantes. Today, it is one of Greece's most loved destinations with its stunning scenery and lively nightlife. Enjoy a half day at Elia Beach, a walking tour of Mykonos Town, or head to the sacred island of Delos, the mythical birthplace of Apollo and Artemis.

Day 3 - Santorini

Santorini is arguably the most photographed Greek island with its classic whitewashed houses and stunning white sandy beaches. Explore the pretty village of Oia at the northern end of Santorini which offers magnificent views of the caldera and the rest of the islands, or head to the crater of a still-active volcano followed by a winery visit.

Day 4 - Gythion

Once the seaport of Sparta, Gythion today welcomes visitors with a stunning coastline and white sandy beaches. Near the entrance of the city is the incredible theatre which still houses the ruins of the Temple of Athena and the Gates of Castorides. Enjoy an authentic taste of Greece by visiting a museum dedicated to the olive, head to Liotrivi mansion, the country estate of the Ritsos family, or explore the underground chambers of the Diros Caves.

Day 5 - Corfu

Homer wrote about the island of Corfu in his famous Odyssey. Enjoy a visit to the Ambelonas wine estate, or perhaps head to picturesque Paleokastritsa.

Day 6 - Bari (Italy)

The Italian city of Bari has always been an important port city. The Basilica of Saint Nicholas holds the remains of its namesake beneath the altar. Enjoy a visit to magical Castel del Monte which has been deemed a UNESCO World Heritage Site, or head to the Castellana Caves. Alternatively, tour hillside Ostuni followed by a wine tasting at a fortified farmhouse known as Masseria Brancati.

Day 7 - Kotor (Montenegro)

The coastal town of Kotor is situated in a secluded part of the Gulf of Kotor. The old port is surrounded by an impressive city wall built by the House of Nemanjicc and a designated UNESCO World Heritage site. Enjoy a drive through the mountains into Montenegro's stunning countryside, or take a stroll along the atmospheric streets of Budva's medieval Old Town.

Day 8 - Dubrovnik (Croatia)

Dubrovnik is known as the 'Pearl of the Adriatic' and the Old City is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Enjoy a train ride between several of the most prestigious wineries in the Konavle Valley with a tasting at each one, or walk along Dubrovnik's city walls. Alternatively, there is kayaking or a bicycle adventure in the Konavle Valley.

Day 9 - Split

Split is the largest Croatian city on the Adriatic coast. Split achieved fame when the Roman emperor Diocletian, noted for his persecution of early Christians, had his retirement palace built here. The spectacular stone edifice and its grounds and cellars are a major highlight of any city tour. See the sights, learn about working life at the Brodosplit Shipyard or head to ancient Salona.

Day 10 - Venice (Italy)

Venice is known as the 'City of Canals' and was built on an archipelago of more than 100 islands. Listen to Baroque music in a 16th-century concert hall, cruise the Grand Canal and visit the Guggenheim Museum, or explore Venice by gondola. Alternatively, head to the islands of Murano and Burano.

Day 11 - Venice - UK

Disembark Seven Seas Voyager in Venice and transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK.
